I backed up my files, I presume they're safe and I installed the patch. I'll probably switch it back soon until we see that fix. If anyone wants to read about my adventures, check here.

Patch 1.3 compatibility is breaking our balls.

So is it playable at all with PRMM 0.3 and BF2 1.3?

I think CTD's are a new feature of 1.3 in general rather than a compatibility issue with PR. Bloody EA!

Yes, not a bug but an added "Feature."
Remember that in PRMM you will crash if you install 1.3 and then play PRMM and try to use the como rose.

Im new to this Mod as of 1 week ago and tbh i dont think ill be playing vanilla BF2 again , so take as long as you like to fix it

Some servers are running 1.3 others 1.22. So a fix would give us more servers to choose from again.

A fix would be a great time to add the SLAM model (if you've finished it yet ) and also to implement my prone fix as well as Rhino's map adjustments.
Oh and while you're there, add the L85A2 to the "Malik" class that only I can use.

The comm rose works fine for me - it's when I right click on squad map that i get ctd. Just done some testing - couldn't put my finger on it late last night.
Can some explain more on what satcom is saying above?

UPDATE: We're working on a PRMM 0.31 patch to address some minor issues with BF2 1.3 as well as add in some tweaks from the PRMM 0.30 release.
It will go into tessting today, but we need to do pretty extensive testing as we don't plan to release another PRMM update until 0.4 (which will be uber btw).

I wasn't able to login to the accountserver for almost a week now (really strange, I tried to login on 4 different accounts => didn't work while I have fast internet connection), so I re-installed BF2 today, downloaded the new patch, just to try out and when I started BF2 my screen went grey, purple, green and all kind of colours. After 5 minutes I was logged in the accountserver, I tried to join a server and suddenly my computer re-starts by itself (never had something like this before with ANY game) and I get all kinds of computer errors (and my computer made strange noise). 
Now I removed BF2 from my computer again, I don't want to risk any damage to my computer because of BF2. There are enough games that work fine on my computer without any problems so I really doubt if this problem comes from my computer... But I must admit I don't know anything about computers. Maybe I will try to re-install the game in 2 weeks. I want to play PRMM.

sounds more like a graphical problem, that would be the only thing to make your PC restart ONLY when playing Battlefield 2 and with it not to have happened in any other game. update graphics drivers, direct X and maybe sound card drivers.GrossKopf wrote:That sort of thing happening sounds like low voltage.. your computer's trying to draw too much juice from your power supply... or your motherboard is overheating..
As for PRMM i had a CTD about 10-15mins into playing a game, and it seemed a lot of servers had crashed. going in now to test it a bit more.

Good to see you guys are right on top of this. Will look forward to more updates.
and one last thing...is it really EA we should be mad it? They only published and promoted the game, the did their job of hyping it up and building it up...DICE the developer is responsible for patches and the actual game itself to my knowledge
