Well, I think we can all agree that it's an unrealistic aspect of the helicopter flight model. If it can be fixed within the confines of the BF2 engine, it should be.

Now, as far as the pilots... if they're using it to be more effective, I suppose it's fine. This would demonstrate the need to fix this unrealistic situation. If they're doing it to show off and not benefiting their team, they're going to face the consequences from angry teammates when they waste assets, and deserve to be kicked by any admins that notice.

L4gi, it's not barrel rolls, nor is it even flips, it's about staying in level flight or hovering whilst being upside down. It's very unrealistic, and I find the people that do it arrogant, especially considering I've nearly been TKed by one flying above around my helicopter on Barracuda, and since it doesn't determine one's actual level of skill.

Tbh i've never seen someone fly upside down ingame

if they do it and destroy the chopper kick them off the server. If there doing it well....well.. its entertaining and lame at the same time.

It's as lame as trying to drive a humvee on 2 wheels. Sure, you can do it, but whats the point in needlessly risking the asset?

Oh and doing a barrel roll doesn't dodge an AA missile in a huey, i've killed a lot of hueys while they're doing their barrel rolls. Maybe the way the flares deploy while doing that is better then while flying level, but the action itself doesn't fool the missile.

whenever i see someone flying upside down i think "**** there goes 10 tickets" when im in the aircraft flying upside down i usually say many swear words and pray we live. usually we die. i think that it should b done on the training servers and not live. because it wastes assets, tickets, and its annoying.

specially now with the new spawn timer for choppas... and yeah, Al Bashra can sometimes get annoying without a helicop

I really wish that when .9 rolls around, that the DEV team implements the helicopter physics and handling, because, it's ridiculous to see helicopters go upside down, regardless if it's "cool" it's strange, I used to love doing it, but whenever I do do it, it's just so unrealistic.

When was that rumor going around? whoever whines about the bloody spawn time isn't really a good pilot, because they'll say "oh dang I have to wait 10 mins! ahhh! because they made a retarded error, like flying upside down. and it's only 10 for those that don't know, 20 for the Attack helicopters.

I can fly inside out, down side up, outside in, dingaling, touch my thing, and make me sing.

But seriously. I love Little Birds. Especially on Muttrah. People always complain about how easily the Little Bird is shot down and is an AA magnet. Look how high your flying man!!!! Of course gonna get hit, your an obvious target, even if I only have rocks I'd still try to shoot you.

Doesn't everyone realise that the passengers will be minced up if they try to deploy via fast ropes if the chopper is upside down?

Funny I've been around for a while now and I never seen this before. I'm kind a glad I haven't

only time it would be needed, would when be that you lag, and you're flipped.

i havent seen anyone bothering to do it since .75 or whenever, only time i do any combat rolls etc are in Attack choppers when at high altertude and need to drop fast.

or if i have a dodgy take off after dropping off a squad, then it looks like im showing off when im not xD
