Genius.

No, seeing as it has a directional warhead -- having it rotate at a logical speed would make it more
intuitive to use. As is, it does not rotate, and you just have to hope that it a) blows up at the right time and b) is facing the correct direction.

I'm not sure if grenades can spin in the BF2 engine. Whenever a projectile is thrown, the projectile's model is in one fixed state. I believe the US grenades in-game stay upright all times after being thrown.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I've played most of the ReFractor 2 Battlefield games, and I've only seen thrown weapons in a constant state and pointing the same direction.
Or perhaps no one's tried to have spinning throwables, or it's not worth the trouble.

What about homing grenades?, so it finds you and follows until it explodes...would partially fix the problem...
If we could live with this for so many years, i think we can continue.

Does this need focus though?
How exactly do you think its gonna go down in the first 2 weeks of gameplay in the new patch when that gets implemented?
"Hey Joe, throw a nade at me, i wanna see if it spins"
-> 'FireCracker Teamkills Joe'
Lol, come on, lets move onto something else that really matters.
(Like figuring out this darn APC lag!)

what if two grenades are thrown at one time?

You can get the rotation to work on a local working, no idea if it will work on a dedi?
Not sure if you can only see it in the 1st person or if 3rd person view will work, too.
