Sure they weren't just spotted on the map or people using teamspeak?

I came in as well - don't know if you guys remember me from when I jumped in and said hi on Muttrah I believe. Good server, I was very happy with both it and the iGi members present.

I'm also a ground-pounder, so the no armour thing has me siked. :D

Nice server, seems stable. Play it quite a bit! Not as squad orientated as Gloryhoundz but one of the better euro servers. The no armour/attack heli is a welcome change but would suggest a longer map rotation (minus the faulty night maps)

As an avid armor driver, I really can't agree with the anti-armor servers. First off, I will state and acknowledge that since I do use armor a lot, my opinion probably won't matter to you all. But I will say that a well co-ordinated squad can easily flank, outrun, and destroy me or (any other tankers I see or know, for that matter), and that's saying a lot. The main reason people complain about armor is because they simply don't know how to work together. I came across one squad of clan members that I straight out hated (as well as respected), probably because they kept coming up with innovative ideas on how to smoke my tank. As some assistance to those here who do not know how to do it, I'll throw in some of their ideas:

1. Massed simultaneous rocket attack.
2. Smoke / AT mine combo.
3. Distracting me with a dummy target (such as an AT troop who runs across a street) only to be blown up from the side by a Special Forces troop).
4. Finding a way under my tank, wiring the tracks with C4, and crawling out before it blows.
5. Coordinated armor-vs-armor/APC assaults.

No offense to anyone, but armor is supposed to be unbalanced. WWI troops didn't just stop using tanks because the enemy side's troops were crying about being slaughtered. In fact, I believe tanks were invented for the sole purpose in being able to mow down long lines of infantry and crush their defensive barriers under thick treads.

However, any smart, well oiled squad or team can easily take down a mere tank. Again, no offense, but it's meant to be unbalanced.

point one, there´s just one no-armor server that i know of.
point two is, with armors off, the infantry battle gets (in my opinion) ten times more intense than with.
also, as tanks may(!) encourage one team to play together more, tank players themselves are actually the lone wolfs, some guy gets the chance to drive a tank, runs away from his squad and drives off.
with a good team, armor battle can be very nice, like your team using your tank as a shield while advancing towards.
but that´s not always the case.
also, with only one no armor server there are still enough for ppl like you to play :)
