How can it replace the RKG? They're entirely different weapons with different purposes for different ranges...Pvt. Green wrote:I wish this new weapon replaces the RKG-3 we have currently..

Re: Interesting Weapon for Project Reality ?
Taliban-IED mentioned that it was a RKG-3 launcher; but after watching the video I assumed that it was a modification to launch the RKG from the end of a rifle (to increase its range), instead of it being an entirely different weapon.
ops: Sorry, I'll try not to assume things without watching closely.

Re: Interesting Weapon for Project Reality ?
Like Dragosh pointed out -- it is most likely a rifle grenade.
Guessing from the fact that they're using a Zastava AK to fire one of them, you might conclude that someone got a hold of Yugoslavian rifle grenades, likely from the same source that they have the Yugo AK.
They do not have the same contour as the RKG-3, so we can assume that they are not RKG-3s.
The native produced AKs in Iraq are Tabuks, based off of Zastava designs, but lacking the grenade firing adapter, ladder sight and gas-cutoff.
