A Modular PSU is a must, - Thermaltake do some VERY powerful modular ones i would recommend.
I also agree that a good top end Samsung T-Series monitor is a must. Personally i would go for a 22" one and buy the best 20000:1 or better contrast ratio and refresh rate (at least 2ms) as you can, rather than the extra 2 inches, but thats just down to preference. If development is more important than performance then 24 is only just adequate. But stay away from the Dell if you are buying a new monitor.

bump :p , yeah...this got severely delayed due to financial issues. But it' should be back on track and I'll be ready to purchase within the next few weeks.

Good news : The SSD, PSU and case have all dropped in price :)

Bad News : Overclocked bundle seems to have gone up and OCuk don't do the Auzentech Prelude anymore :(

I've decided to take the Radeon route, since 5770's are going for 130! Crossfire 5770's for the lulz :p (and the fact they have DX11, are cheaper than a sinlge 285 and can beat it in everything @ 1920x1200)

2 x 5770's outperform a single 285. Unless you mean 295 in which case...yea...only 3-way could compete :P

Might get it at a later date.

ditched crossfire 5770's, going for a 5870 instead. Also changed the monitor and hard drive.

The system which I had bought 5 months back. Might be interesting for you... (+ a new graphics card of course).
Your system looks fine though.

In Jaymz's system it's in amongst the Overclocked Kit.

In dunno/be's its the top item.

bump, rig arrived the other day. Case is absolutely massive, 5870 is absolutely massive. Took me ages to build but it was all worth it :)

Have a few cable management issues :p , nothing to worry about though....

With top cover off

The case design is very clever, keeps it well cool and all...but I do have issues.
  1. The power and reset buttons are in the worst place of all (top-front). I've had it three days and I've accidentally restarted/shutdown several times.
  2. Since all the connections are on the top, it's very...em....exposed. Even with the cover on, one spilt drink will cause absolute hell so I've been pretty nervous with it.

So far I've tested it out on the Crysis demo and the BFBC2 Beta, ran both @ 1920 x 1080 with everything maxed out with no problems. It also takes about 30 seconds to fully start up and have every single app loaded and ready

we want to see how it works? ;)
hehe, will do. Only played Yamalia, Kashan and Fallujah so far. Fallujah was the only one that dropped below 50 FPS. Yamalia/Kashan were around 80-100 all the time.

Glad you enjoy rig haha!

Any case that has top fans is a hazard to spilt drinks, I just keep all drinks the other side of the desk haha.

What are your plans audio card wise? I only see the SupremeFX in there, you planning on buying the Essence ST(X) at some point or going to stick with what you've got?
