I support this 100%. We just give out uzis and glocks... so sweeet
but seriously, if you want it, make it happen
This would be absurd! The vehicle assets could have 24" rims

Just an idea guys to calm all the "realistic scenario" junkies. You could consider it as a joint training exercise so lets all concentrate on good maps/statics and a slave to make 'em all.

Make the setting Washington DC and have the factions be US military vs Secret Service. SS only gets pistols but has the all seeing UAV. Maybe they can have an objective, such as get the "vip" out of town safely... would be fun and maybe not so unrealistic...

where as china has a huge Reserve of youth to call on in the event of a war. china has very good military technology in some aspect it rival’s the US army, A massive army over 100 deviations and that just there peace time army, a enormous manufactory capability's, if china declared war on the US north Korea and other country's would undoubtedly jump in aiming to grab new territory
Simple fact is if the coalition when’t to war with china .there would be a very large possibly we would lose.
I have no trouble believing if there a war it would most likely spill onto American soil.
LOL WUT.
China may have a huge military, but it's not very well equiped or trianed, they have a smaller military budget than some European countries, and a bad navy. How exactly do you suggest they their men to America?
I'm all for an American map, US vs China isn't realisitic either, but we still have that, so why not?

and you base that on what? Much of China's military equipment is very capable, there ZTZ-99 MBT looks to be easily on par with an M1A1/A2 and they are very well trained also.
Here a few years back the USMC trained with some of the PLANM (Chinese Marines) and as you can see, the PLANM are more trained than the USMC which is no real suprize since the PLANM are much more like the Royal Marines where they are mainly a commando group rather than the USMC which is more a 2nd army with Amphibious training and equipment built for Amphibious warfare.

How did you determine that Chinese Marines are better trained than US Marines?
Because of a clip were a Chinese Marine beat a US marine on a (Chinese) obstacle course?

Not trying to start an argument here, but what makes you assume that they are less trained as a standard?

Commando units generally go tougher training than normal soldiers.
Most likley the US Army / USMC go though better training than the average PLA Solider but when you compare a commando unit to a army unit you are generally going to find that the commando unit goes though better training.

umm...what?
If your not trying to start an argument, what are you doing? Because I was asking a question about how Rhino determined Chinese Marines are better trained than US Marines.
Nowhere did I say "Chinese Marines can't be very good" or something along those lines. Or "US Marines must be better".

A youtube video of an obstacle course (which was at a Chinese naval base, they no doubt had a lot more time to train on it) isn't really a good example. But I don't think Rhino was trying to say who was better. Just that the Chinese have a capable armed forces, both Russia and China have learned that bigger doesn't mean better. Cohesive, modernized armies are the way of the future. I really dislike this "My army could kick the **** out of your army" stuff. It's all hearsay and chest beating, which is kinda trivial anyway because if it did happen it'd be a terrible terrible thing.
Not to mention China has entered a new age of economic growth and is so dependant on exports coupled with the fact that todays economy is so entangled with fuel prices, consumer spending and global stability. That makes a large scale conflict highly unlikely.
Someone brought up logistics which is a good point. The real threat would be ICBMs, bombers and submarines. Millions of men and tanks don't do much if they don't have fuel lines and the ability to deploy halfway across the world. So I don't honestly see China or Russia as a threat in terms of total invasion. But Nuclear war, or short violent border confrontations are still something that could happen *cough* Georgia

And we have a winner.
Anyway, I think the more the merrier. This sort of scenario would be a fantastic addition to PR, much like what the Australian faction chaps are up to making their own homeland invasion map.
However as previously stated, it needs someone to do it...
No I cannot map, nor model. Sorry.

I'd love to see a US based map, it would make a lovely change of scenery. Hell I'd be thrilled if there was a British based map set in merry old england.
Screw realism in this regard, as long as the gameplay is realistic, I do not care where the map is set.

There ought to be a map with the US against the PLA, set on one of the Hawaiian islands, sort of like Wake Island in vBF2, except better, 'cause it's PR.
That would make for some interesting combat, and would count as a foreign invasion of US soil, while not being ridiculously unrealistic like a invasion map in the continental United States.
You could even make it sort of like Wake Island was, and have it be that the PLA has taken over Hawaii and a Marine Expeditionary Unit has arrived in a carrier to retake it.
That would be pretty cool.
And quite realistsic.
