Huh? Well this is turned out alot? I was kinda thinking just taking it off at firebases and stuff? Unless they were to end up doing that in the middle of combat? Thats just stupid, but people do stupid things? Right?*shurg*

I do not know. To be honest I thought you could unlatch it and then fit it back in place.Hunt3r wrote:You mean have BUIS on the ACOG, and have a mode where you take off the ACOG and use them 250USD BUIS?

i dont really think that in real life people carry both ACOG and rifleman, or they have time to switch in the field. but i think there are some acogs mounted on the ironsight but im not sure

We should do something similar to the LMG undeployed but sighted in mode. I really doubt soldiers use the ironsight fully anyways when they assault a house and similar situations when the ACOG is useless. When I did my national service we were told to look trough the front ring sight of the assault rifle in close quarter situations and ignore the part in the back, and we didnt have any optics on our AK5. Aiming through the ironsights creates an unwanted tunnelvision effect somewhat similar to optics.

So unrealistic,IRL when u take off a scope, and your putting it on again, you need to make it on target again, that can take hours....................

if u spend hours sighing it your scope you should not be allowed to use a gun ever again. lol

Re: Acoq's and model changing.
You know, if we didn't have the ACOG/SUSAT reticule cover the whole screen when aimed in, then we wound't have this problem. The point is, in real life you don't have your eye right into the scope. Now, I'm about to refer to one of the most unrealistic games to refer to, but this is probably the best representation, In the Modern Warfare trailler where "Roach" is chasing someone through the streets of what looks like brazil, he uses what I believe is a Bushmaster ACR with Infinity Ward's newly done ACOG scope, you can see him aim in at times, and the scope is at proper length from his eye, thus you can see the things around you, that will really help CQB situations such as what you have said. The same is somewhat done with the M68s on the M16/M4, the only problem is that at long range having the periferal vision allows your CQB sensitivity to comply at longer ranges if you know what I'm saying. It'll make it harder to aim with the Long range Optics, but I have a feeling its like this in real life having only shoot guns with Iron sights. BF2's engine will probably poop out on this, but I feel that PR2 will.

This actually gave me an idea.
Since rifleman kits are not limited anyway, why not put them on the request menu.
So if you have a Scoped rifleman kit, you could get a irosight version in the supply crate.
And that could symbolize the soldier coming to a safe spot where he can take of his scope, or that he puts on a Scop from the supply crate.
Kinda of the same way its done in ARMA.

Not all of them, and I think I may be right in saying that only Special forces have that sight ontop of their acogs in the field. But I'm not sure.

Re: Acoq's and model changing.
it depends on the unit, if the commander sees it necessary he can order it through supply. some units are getting oakley boots and gloves, some are getting new EOTechs, some are getting MULTICAM, it all depends on the unit,
sure they arent standard issue... however most 'standard issue' items arent worth taking overseas due to the army spending money on the lowest bidder. so therefore, not just SF comes prepared with good gear.

You shoot 3 shots, and if you're on paper then you just do the necessary adjustments and then shoot another 3 shots. If you're on target, you're good to go. It's more like 20 seconds to confirm zero.Adetter wrote:Experience...............I know how to shoot..........even if im just 13!
