Re: Map : Monchegorsk
Even if he is not a PR person the map can be included in the official pack if it meets the requirements/testing right?
I really hope this comes as an official release since I believe the non-official packs are restricted to password only servers, and this map needs to to used!

Re: Map : Monchegorsk
Absolutely we would include a community map even if the creator was not a PR team member, as long as its tested and meets the requirements, its all up to the mapper to give permission to use.Even if he is not a PR person the map can be included in the official pack if it meets the requirements/testing right?
Its a great map from when I tested it, and Im sure its only improved. We need more 4km maps, this one would make a great addition Im sure but I believe Space does not want it released to the public at this time (correct me if Im wrong).

No correction needed, I've begged Space for this map countless times on Xfire and he's adamant it won't ever be seen as a PR map, only RT special events.[R-DEV]fuzzhead wrote:I believe Space does not want it released to the public at this time (correct me if Im wrong).

One step ahead of you, I have already offered him money (decent money), there and then for the map and all files as I wanted Monchegorsk in CA as it would suit it perfectlyLithiumFox wrote:I will keep begging space to.. O.O I WILL EVEN PAY HIM TO RELEASE IT (once i get money)

When RT gets more popular, it could also be included in the normal map rotation.'J.Burton[EEF wrote:;1133943']only RT special events.

Re: Map : Monchegorsk
It would have to be passworded Spawn and IIRC would have to have something like CUSTOMS MAPS in the server name or bye bye server....

That's part of the idea of RT anyway. It would have to be passworded Spawn
You may stop laughing now. Maybe money doesn't matter for him? I think he has made his position clear.I will laugh in your face for another 20 minutes Space if you don't gives permission.

Re: Map : Monchegorsk
using the map to fuel Reality Teamwork Password events is a clever move if you are trying to get a community up and running and attracting players both new and old is clearly an effective plan. But we shouldn't really infer what reasoning Space is using imo as its a private matter until he decides it isn't. And at the end of the day, its his interlectual property and can use it how he sees fit.Its a great map from when I tested it, and Im sure its only improved. We need more 4km maps, this one would make a great addition Im sure but I believe Space does not want it released to the public at this time (correct me if Im wrong).

Ya didn't mean to infer anything ultimately his decision, stop pestering him guys
I'm sure we see many great 4km maps in future, both private and public ones.
