pretty cool blake,
basicly what i wanted was the feel of hiting a ground target and not be 50 feet above and spraying the **** out of the ground hoping to hit it.

All you need technically is a lock on system and instead of launching the missile forwards launch it upwrads by about 60 degrees. And with the lock on allow it to curve down and hit the target. Sure its not compltetely realistic. But i doubt you will be able to get the missile to act completely realistic.
-edit-
but it is realistic to fire some aim-120s and merely hope you hit the target.

well yea but its not realisic to hover around and shoot like crazy, and hit the tank 3 times and the tank dont die lol. but then a MG can shot the heli down with small arms fire

But small arms still does damage.
In game it takes about 300 rounds to down a heli...probably never tested. If you think about that in real life quite a few of those are going to hit some rotor blades and fragile places....jam rockets and weaponry for instance.
3 aim-120s would destroy a tank?
...Another thing about helis though. Will the helicopters be using an arcade system like comanche 4 where you can never flip it upside down due to poor piloting or more like MS flight simulator/ Desert Combat where you have full controll of whats going on?
BF2 will probably have arcade style helicopters since its an arcade game...hopefully its fully modable though. Otherwise you will have to make a driving vehicle a helicopter like in DC

i am talking in game not in real life, you can shoot basicly your whole load out and no distroy the tank, since two things the tank has health(solo made a thread about that) and you can't and dont't have a locking on system, hell fires ect and have to aim, rather then lock on and for get. people take me way to literay or somthing
also there is many times where i shot down helis with a mg .50 cal auto on a tank while the heli is going very fast, and its like the heli is a slow beast

Also I have heard in this thread many DC references and you must remember that EA Stockholm did bring in some members of Trauma Studios at the beginning and also hired a few to stay on and work full time so many things that DC did will be implemented.

I doubt it...I just cant beleive it. Thats like allowing you to accidentaly turn the turret to much in a t72 and knock off your extra fuel storage barrels on the back... It just "aint' not gona happen" in an arcade game. Can anyone tell me a reason for why they would want a helicopter that requires skill so you WONT be able to jump in fly and blast "baddies" back to the stone age?
I thought the BF series was supposed to allow you to jump ingame and start shooting your friends?
They will not benefit in any way by having helicopters "hard to use". Thats like forcing them to use four buttons for a tank rather then forwards backwards left right. You would have left track forwards/backwards right track forwards/backwards.
They would just loose sales from the average jo...or joe wahtever.

...How could they LET you flip a helicopter on itself...Sureley they ar eaiming to the bf:V comunity as well? They said the BF:V helicopters were going to rock...and as far as i heard they...did not. Unfortunately/fortunately i didnt even bother buying that game as just from the preview screens you could tell it was...well "poop" in a milder term
