I accidentally spliced the video incorrectly when making it (trying to do 3 things at once) so there's about 10seconds of ****, when really there were 10seconds of awesome
Now, this mod works in Local. its fof 1.41 not 1.5, and thus when people get in to choppers the server can crash.
I'm sorry to report that the NVGs do not work correctly for certain graphics cards afaik, for some it works fine. I think if you have a Nvidia 9800 or older it should be fine
Its alot of fun, with some great ideas and perhaps some can get added to PR (after modification)
BUT! I can confirm, THERE ARE NO RECOCHETS. Its just a spark effect which is very good and tricks you.

The engine has never and never will be able to have ricochets as far as i know untill they release the base code for the engine and thats never gonna happen coz when dice and ea get there hands on copyright laws they hug them untill they can no longer breathe... ok thats a bit ott lol
but afaik its not possible and has been discussed before

Actually I am pretty sure it is possible. Just needs some work.

Wow, the sparks effects in that video are really nice. So are the HUDs. What can and what can't DEVs use from the expansion pack ? Why don't they expand the mod for the expansion pack if it can open more options for the mod ?

This thread sort of got off topic. Im not talking about bigger and brighter tracers, im talking about tracers bouncing off the ground when they ricochet off hard surfaces. Its a very common thing for tracer rounds to do and its very visible at night. This video is a perfect example of what Im talking about:

And to UKrealplayer666, I would really wait to see if a DEV says its hardcoded. Because Im pretty sure that the planes in Forgotten Hope have tracer bounce. Maybe Il go fire it up and check.

I'm unsure, but I believe you would need to purchase the expansion pack. Its cheap I know, but it might cause problems.

And I think some Insurgent models are from the Spec-Op addon. So the DEVs have access to the Addons.

The effects were all made by the modder, or most of them + new tracers. No reason they aren“t possible in any other mod. The reason it requires the xpack is because it uses xpack vehicles, a map and probably the odd static/night vision thing etc...

I ran it w/out the xpack, though I CTDed once randomly on Karkand Night, out of about 3 games, and I CTDed on loading the night flight map.
Didn't get Night vision to work, though I can say the effects kill my low FPS already

remember the bots are resource hungry, and by default there are 63 of them.
KARKAND NIGHT ISN'T A NIGHT MAP. its a dark day map, Night Flight is a night map.
You'll CTD alot, me and Alex think its the choppers, their mag numbers need to be decreased to be compatibel with BF2 1.5

FH2 has ricochets. If you have the mod, load up a map, spawn with something full automatic, drive a truck or jeep onto a road and then shoot some magazines into the asphalt (make sure you don't hit the truck directly. The truck will get damaged by random ricochets.
The effect is most visible when you use the 20mm guns of airplanes, they bounce up when they hit rock or asphalt.

See, so its not hardcoded for the BF2 engine. Which means it can be in PR. Which would rock.

Actually, i've been injured when someone shot the ground in front of me a couple of times in PR... It has only happened on the carrier though.
