i would suggest black screen for just an instant which fades back into regular view over the course of maybe 2-3 seconds

good idea, i like 1, 2 is a bit extreme but good maybe for those that actually get damaged by the explosion but arn't close enough to die.

but, yeah i think it would be a good addition to an already great game if it is possible ;-)

Just boost your speakers volume to get the most realistic deafness effect ever :)

No, seriously, last time I was playing with explosives, it took 2 days for this effect to disappear but I wouldn't recommend going this far in the game. 10 sec, no more, otherwise it will get on people's nerves.

yes i have ;) but after looking it up it is actually true for the most part. and lol great movie. huge plot holes.

Right, Im pretty sure the whistling sound shouldn't be hard to do and i would like to hear a dev's oppinnion on can this be done or why it hasn't be done before?

First things first; Never, ever use BHD as a reference for anything resembling real life. It's a movie and it takes many an artistic freedom is about as kindly as I can put it.

Second, having experienced mortars, rockets, artillery and rpg's first hand I can tell you sure as hell that you do not hear a "whistling" noise nor does your vision go black. You're temporarily dazed at most with a ringing noise in your ear (that stays with you to some extent for the rest of your life depending on how close and/or how often you've been under fire).

thats what they're asking for the ringing in your ears. i think some people just misused the word whistling instead

Yup i didnt mean that kinda whistling but the ringing in your ears after a big bang, and about the BHD im sorry was just a joke :mrgreen:

the idea is basicly wrong it needs resuggesting-:
for example a longer suppression effect
maybe we can have different stages of surpression because atm isn't it all the same for example a bigger one for explotions and smaller for bullets etc.
