Re: My End Of Project Reality
Months more like it.
It does worry me sometimes that lots of peeps leave because of 'no teamwork' or whatever, because we all know that some servers (who shall remain nameless) vary from completely **** sinkholes of the internet to just plain unadmined, whereas well admined servers are suffering from population problems. I never understand why

I will say one thing though when I did get into a squad with people on the mic and some teamwork going on the experience was fantastic, but most of the time people wanted to play around and take off without everyone.
I don't want a tiny shoebox sized map, but something a bit smaller that would allow me to join the action in a a reasonable amount of time would have me back again fast.

You know even as a Dev I have those "Screw these players, this squad, and this server" games. And unfortunately its very common. But its the one or two a day I get that make it all worth it. When you have a good squad working with you (even if the team sucks) it really makes PR and its players shine.

That is true even if I am on the losing side when you have people playing as team communicating everything just goes so well in PR.[R-DEV]CodeRedFox wrote:You know even as a Dev I have those "Frak this, this squad, and this server" games. PR is a work in progress. For those of you with short barrels, good luck in your new fields. Have fun, and I hope we hear from you from time to time.
I see a huge potential for PR; not just as a mod for BF2, but commercially as well. There are few organizations of this kind that are willing to bite the bullet and go where others fear to venture. Imho, it's no sweat to put together an RPG where the rp has his choice of outfits, fantasy weapons and eternal life. No different than comparing classic movies like "Gone With The Wind" to some of the trash that the critics give 3-5 stars to. It took talented writers to produce that epic film. Today, the talentless just throw together a little sex, drugs, and sex, and it sells. Just like next weeks "new" movie. But the devil is in the details - ask a diamond cutter. That's what I think of PR - a diamond in the rough; and the Dev's/Mods are diamond cutters!
See you guys at the end of the road!

every new release i think, this is the end of the road, because with each release i just think "This is perfect what more can they possibly do?" and then the next version comes...SgtDad wrote:PR is a work in progress. afaik, its Project Reality built from the ground up from an indie engine.mike653048 wrote:Uh, whats PR2?
and to the OP - everyone has their own tastes in video games. I actually find myself enjoying PR the most when I'm walking through some dense forest for 1km hoping not to get ambushed.

When you enter a room full of armed men, shoot the first person who makes a move, hostile or otherwise.
He has started to think and is therefore dangerous.
