If it was a suggestion, and I am quite sure it was, this thread needs to be locked.

^....I'm sure the MODs will do it when they decide its warranted.

imo the LB does need to be a tad faster, but most of teh choppers need tweaking in handling, so hopefully would be done at the same time (though I support removal of the LB from the whole game...)

I have to Agree with my man Rudd on this one, LB needs to be removed anyway.

However, for as long as it stays in it does need some tweaking to make it faster, while maintaining its absolutely amazing manouverability.

For ]CIA['s BigGameBattle tonight, I place the regular AH-6 (with both hydras and M134), along side two Apaches and 2x2 F-16's. F-16's for dog Fight'n, Apaches for Tank kill'n, and the AH-6 for recon.

So perhaps, the Littlebird and its counterparts should stay in the game for as long as we need to do scouting/recon.

Can this be acheived?

I was flying the LB in ramiel insurgency yesterday and 1 insurgent with a stolen officer kit, shot me out of the LB with a pistol.

I was flying a overhead orbit pattern, above a cache, killing insurgents as they spawned.

The insurgentt with stolen officer kit was on a roof near by.

I noticed i was taking fire, but nothing serious to pull out or fall back. Then all of a sudden i get shot out of chopper and my chopper lands on ground , still operational.

The insurgent who shot me out, was spamming chat, saying he took out an LB with a pistol.

So if the LB were faster, it would be more useful in game, as a scouting/recon bird. It also would not get shot down as easily and the pilot would not get shot out as easily.

The LB doesn't necessarily need to be removed completely, just the assault version,. The unarmed version is perfect for recon and quick squad insertion in the maps it is featured on. The problem with the assault version is it gives players the idea that they can hang around in a hostile area and repeatedly strafe the enemy, which its not designed to do...
Tbh I think when people see that chopper on the pad they get a little too many flashbacks to BHD. ;)

Anyway the topics been re suggested an discussed to death, I'm sure the devs are aware if the issues and can be left to sort it out as they see fit.

EDIT: The above post is a prime example of what I was getting at... >.<

This is a suggestion in the General Discussion thread. There is a reason why there's a minimum post count requirement for posting suggestions, y'know? ;)

Well, I think we're quite clear on the fact that the LB and BH cannot fly 600+ kph. This is the original suggestion, and has been shot down (heh heh heh, shot down, geddit? ). If anyone wants to suggest upping speed of the LB slightly so that it's closer to the BH, or anything else, please make a thread about it in the Suggestions forum and discuss it there.

Locked.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.
