I have been trying to land for quite a while. I have been practising for a week or so in training servers but i just dont get it. I try to just come in slowly but when i start to hover i press s to much and smash the heli into the ground i have \made a few good landings but i just can seem to repeat them can anyone help with this.

you have to come in low and aim to land about 10 m in front of where you instend and make sure you 10m space before and after you landing zone for mistakes.
don't press S for to long your engine will cut and you will die

tap s, rather than press it.

In PR the easiest way to learn how to fly is to get the basics down in training mode, then hop in Muttrah city in local mode and just practice making drops on locations. Just drop a random map marker and land on the ground or hover as close to it as you can as quickly as is reasonable. As time progresses you'll get quicker, and you'll start getting better at things like flaring and evasive flying...

try not to use decent (S key) that much.
try working hovers and slow flying without pressing W that much.

try to fly over a city, and then without using the keyboard (take the hand off the keyboard, don't even look at it!!!) only use your mouse to tilt down in a soft decent, then pull back and balance the chopper out into a hover and let it slowly set down onto the ground.

lets you get used to how the chopper balances. i love flying them with mouse.

note: when you master that, try doing the same thing, but tap W instead of set down on the ground. you should never land when dropping people in a game. there may be bugs that will flip your chopper so don't take the risk.

i use the keyboard and not the mouse i think the mouse is to sensitive.

For landing i slow down usally with no throotle or tapping throttle and i make sure im at good low level altitude i put my nose facing the ground while flying towards it then quickly lift the nose and hold S when im at a very very low altitude. If youre flying a HUEY btw you can really slam it down on the ground it still dosent get dameged.
