I did a lot of wtfpwning people with the AK74U in .85, and it was super awesome. A single insurgent could actually rape a US squad in fallujah west, just because you could put a whole mag into a guy from 100 feet away in 2 seconds. It was awesome, but not at all realistic.

I think the new 74 is way better, much more reasonable.

IMO, the AKS-74U is almost perfect. I was on multi-story building on Fallujah West, with a 74. I saw a whole american squad below me, they were so unaware of the situation bestowed upon them, giving me the chance to get a good amount of kills and use and showcase the gun. Well, I sighted in, and started shooting on Automatic mode, Standing. The targets were about 10 meters away which wouldn't make the deviation effect it too much. I went for the SAW first, he was prone, It took nearly the whole magazine to take him out, reload, went for the rifleman. That took me about 25 rounds. This showed how ineffective the thing is. Look at the weapon, it has insanely short barrel, a intermediate caliber. Theres only one result, High recoil and bad accuracy,

Single shot can be your friend sometimes...... 1 or 2 well placed rounds is all you need. or even Full auto in short bursts works well.
