True, I had to suicide once in Op Archer because of a bug (I got stuck!)
What I mean is, make PILOT KITS WORTH POINTS! As stated numerous times before.
Or tell an admin "Hey, the pilot just made us lose 1 ticket!"
Yes, 1 ticket makes a difference, specially after you end 2 games with 1-0 tickets or 3-0 tickets.

I vote for not removing suicide and the only reason here is the amount of potentially fatal bugs. I had to commit suicide many times in this game and all of them happened because of bugs. I don't recall ever committing a suicide in order to avoid walking outside a training server, not even when squad leader ordered us to do so, yet it has to be done from time to time. You can get stuck in many places and believe me, even 60 sec respawn time hurts if you're medic and need to stay with the squad.
Does falling off a cliff also count as suicide?

If you can make a spawn penalty that only effects people who actually click the "give up" button, I think a 5 minute penalty would be awesome. But if it's going to punish people who are killed by molotovs, fall off cliffs, etc then I would vote for just applying a long spawn time for those who die with pilot kits. Still kinda crappy, but better than punishing everyone.

As a server moderator, I give a big NO to this and the 5min waiting periods etc.
It's already hard enough to switch sides and wait 60-70 seconds and then start to solve possible situations at the server. Even if the suicide feature will be deleted, the teamswitch gets you killed and gives the suggested 5min waiting period.

Well, you could just get a guy with a grappling hook if you got stuck in there........

I only use suicide when I ask a admin to switch me because noone is around to TK me lol.
The only problem with suicide is when you are way to far from you squad and the SL asks you to suicide to join them. That's plainly unfair and a lot of tickets or even games are lost because of suicide button.

As far as getting stuck in holes in certain map (not wells): You guys do realize that you can get up a steeper hill if you look straight down while keep on jumping forward right? I never really get stuck in any map because this trick saves me every time...

Very good suggestion Tofurkeymeister!
I agree with you 100%. But lets look at the Cons...
If I were to fall in a whole at Korengal Valley for example, why was I in there by my self to begin with and what got me into that hole was my curiosity. So I'd see it fit that the dude suffers until either his sq gets to him with a specialist or just keep yelling out until a Taliban hears him and kills him.
On other maps where u might find yourself in a room with no exit or a hole or a glitch, 99% of the time you can get out with a grappling but that is if your sq is around and back to the original point, why the heck are you roaming around by yourself?
If you are trying to catch up to your sq and get caught in a hole, then its up to your sq to come get you out.
The whole point of this would be to enforce sq cooperation and unity while moving. It is always good to divide the sq in two if you have a full sq so you can cover more territory and limit yourself from falling into places where u can't get out.
I say this is a fantastic idea so ppl would stop going into places they know they might not get out of AND stay with the SQ at ALL times.
I vote to take the suicide button out or at least try it for a while and see how it works out, it’s definitely worth looking into this, in my opinion that is.

If you remove the suicide button, you might want to implement something that prevents people from leaving the server as well. And why should be people that were unfortunate and got stuck threated worse than teamkillers, asset wasters and civillian murdereds? There is no 5 minutes respawn time for crashing a cobra and loosing 10 times more tickets...
It's a good idea but I don't see a reasonable way to implement it.

Yeah, but I've gotten stuck in a random "hole" in korengal. Mind you this was not a normal hole, but a "OMG I'M UNDER THE MAP AND THERE IS NOTHING HERE WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?!" hole.
I use the suicide button when i get glitched under/between/inside/against/through/"another preposition" stuff.
And instead of suicide people will just rage quit when something like that happens. (Cause there really isn't a fix for getting glitched. It's suicide or leaving the server. =/)

People would probably call that something else *cough* wall glitching *cough*
JK!
Well in that case...
I wonder, if the Medic now has the ability to use his hands to move the body if its glitched uppon a wall, then would it be possible to impliment that to all soldiers and be able to move a bodie regardless of being alive or dead?
Now, that's another idea or suggestion...

I fell down a hole inside a cave on the insurgency valley map (can't remember the name) with a PKM kit earlier today. I didn't have any granades and noone was around to kill me (and I don't think anyone would have anyway). So I say keep the suicide.

I am 100% for this suggestion.. The suicide feature needs to be nerfed abit. Its a cheap way to sneak around the 2km walk with the big uncomfortable boots
