As long as it's coded not to repair Fob building within the proximity to avoid "Black Whole Fobs"

If you did not know, at least back in .8x, if you dropped a repair station on a fob that no one has started to shelve.
It would self destruct, rebuild it self, self destruct quickly.

So you had to wait for it to blow up completely which can take from 1 to 2 minutes for the repair station to blow up.

Could this considered? deployable fob repair points and this would make that tip about designating a repair location valid again.

it would be nice to have helo repair stations, getting logi trucks across the map is a pain sometimes, especially in hilly terrain.

Yes, they are faster as well, making some rescue ops possible. SINCE we can't really savage a vehicle (airlift it back to main for repairs), at least SOME repair (ex. 30% health repair so it can get back to main but still get shot down by 1 HAT or 1 Tank Round or 1 TOW...) would be VERY interesting IMO.

That brings up a good point, how about a 'light' repair crate from the helo. Something that could bring a little bit of repair to the armor but not to the extent of what a normal repair crate does.

You guys completely missed the point why i directed you to this thread. It wasn't meant to copy-paste your posts from locked thread pushing your suggestion, but to read Rhino's comments and understand why this is not implemented.

"They are faster" "This will be interesting" etc., none of this falls under

Repairs conducted by ground vehicles and specialised repairing and evacuation vehicles are way more common and depicted by trucks ingame.
