The color of the skin and your face depends on what soldier you spawn with. If you spawn as a black dude and take the officer kit, you'll be a black officer. But in many cases, people spawn with the officer kit, which results in a white officer.

aaaaaaaa. I see it as a whole. I think insurgents dress as MEC would take away the touch, just as MEC takes the touch out of PR.
What is MEC by the way? I never asked myself that question until now? Can you please help me with that Bosco?

Both the USMC and MEC skins have been highly modified into awesomeness. Nothing wrong with them in my opinion.

THIS IS NOT CANON --

My understanding is that the Middle Eastern Coalition is an "intergovernmental military alliance" similar to NATO.
MEC represents a pooling of many Middle Eastern, North African and Central Asian countries military resources in order to provide "a system of collective defense."
The goal of the MEC is to "to keep the Americans out, the Arabs in, and the Israelis down."
The standardized weaponry and armament of MEC nations represents no single real-world Middle-Eastern country, but is rather a hodgepodge of gear from the region, representing a unified, economically powerful cabal of nations.
I imagine MEC to include, but not be limited to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Pakistan, Syria, Jordan, Libya, etc, etc...

Anyways, that's my two cents on that..

ON TOPIC:
PR player textures change constantly and constantly improve. (Thanks Chuc!)

I think MEC is more than a NATO style alliance. Rather, it is a single military institution, collectively funded and organized by its member states, but with its own command structure largely independent of the militaries of its member states. Whereas NATO is an alliance of countries in which the member states' militaries co-operate for collective defense, MEC is a single unitary military organization with its own uniform code, standardized equipment, and, as I said, an indepedent command structure that perhaps doesn't respond to individual governments, but to a Central Middle Eastern Coailition command, which in turn responds to the member states and their governments.

The MEC is some completely unrealistic pseudo-coalition. Trying to understand it is pointless.

I do enjoy the PR skins, they're pretty sweet.

If you look at Iranian military doctrine, weapons, equipment, etc... It closely represents MEC except the real Iranian military does not have scopes on most of their weapons, its restricted for snipers and special forces.

there should be some understanding of what MEC is... otherwise what is to stop a suggestion/addition of a pink vodnik?

judging by the horns of WW3 being sounded in PR-world, MEC isn't very far fetched, crazier stuff has happened IRL.

Yeah, I've been thinking for quite a long time that the MEC should just be renamed Iran because they look Iranian, have Iranian guns and vehicles, the only Iranian things they lack are Cobras and the language.

maybe someone should suggest MEC be renamed to Iran? ? ? However MEC is not really to unrealistic... I mean look at the league of Arab States, they are similar to NATO. However they wouldn't want Western nations out of their country tourism flourishes those countries...So maybe we could rename MEC League of Arab States? ? ?

But back on topic, the skins are awesome for MEC. They look like actual people, there gear used to get confusing between USMC and MEC but that was fixed (or i just got used to it). All in all the skins at the moment are spot on. Thumbs up to the artwork team from me
lol yeah a while back i remember standing on one end of an alleyway staring at a soldier who was staring back at me, we both entered the alley at the same time from the opposite ends maybe 50 meters apart, took the two of us 3 whole seconds to realise we were hostile, so we both sighted in and BAM! i managed to survive that one, him...not so lucky

As Read has said before: stop discussing who the MEC are. More off-topic posts and this topic gets it. Capice?

The PR MEC skin looks a bit like the Desert Storm "chocolate chip" camo, only lighter:

But it could just be a similar generic desert camo.

No one was suggesting insurgents dress as MEC...
