Hey Got another question. Fixed my CTD problem by creating a new administator account on my XP (old one is screwed up w/ bf2 for some reason). Well anyones i just wanted to know if I'm downloading v.9 through the bittorrent on my old account, can i access it on my new one. I mean once it's downloaded, can i play it on my newly created account because i'm pretty sure it won't work on my old acc. I would redownload it onto the new acc but im about 65% through and it took me a few hrs to get to so i'd just want to know so i can stop the download before it's complete.

SEED people when im done ill seed 4evor =3

Can someone tell me what seeding is, how to seed, and what are benifits/disadvantages to seeding because i'd love to help out.

seeding just means uploading the file you are downloading with a torrent client. Your Client does that automatically unless you stop the upload.

so why wouldn't people seed? Does it make the download slower? Idc because I'm downloading while I sleep

A quick question, will there be direct download versions of the 0.9 files, at any time? Since torrent isnt an option for me at the moment.

Indeed. For those that don't know what the deal is with torrents, simply leave it running when you are done downloading if you have the bandwidth. This will allow others to download faster, meaning everyone gets to enjoy 0.9 when the password is released, i.e. you'll have friends to play with on friday.

Well you can thank me, my friend. I'm uploading the files at a rate that's 100kb+ faster than I'm downloading them!

I will have to wait until friday because its not possible to download torrents with my internet (can't open ports) ??:

Will there be a normal download version of the preload? Lots of ppl wont be able to get it if its torrent only (myself included).

I've already got both files downloaded, still seeding though and will be for about 4-5 hours a day. Dont want to get capped

Keep an eye out on usenet for some NZB's the comming week or so, for those who like to download there stuff at their maximum speed.

i still have to ask why people do not load a torrent, if your using highschool/university internet, okay, but appart from that, torrents are the fastest and most stable way to download files

I prefer news groups, you can use you maximum ISP download speed, and if the files are posted with .par files included you don't need to worry about corrupted files.

usually there's a way around it when the admins suck. for instance i can easily use torrents at my uni, i just have to use port 80 which - amazingly - works
