Would different setting times based on weapon size be possible? Because if you're running around with an AK-74U, it's gonna take a hell of a lot less time to settle than a PKM.

Also, when walking around with your gun in the ready position, you walk pretty slowly. It's almost like a glide-step walk, which is what you use when clearing rooms or moving around when you expect to have to fire in a split second. It would make sense that the settling time would be very short as the deviation wouldn't be that great, from a realistic perspective that is.

The system is, for the most part, making it easy to grasp the concept of how long it would take.

This structuring and standardization of the deviation of weapons will make it easy for every play to get a feel for how his soldier 'reacts' to movement.

So it basically penalizes a person who is in constant sprinting motion going to shoot, but whereas before you would have to "settle" quite often from even the smallest movements...

Now you aren't totally ruined for moving for a few seconds, and stopping to cover...

For Example:

Squad Member 1 is moving into a square room with two doors, one on south side, and one on the west

He looks left after moving for two seconds and covers the door with only what like 40% deviation and itll settle in 2/5 second instead of two whole seconds like .8

Then allowing squad member two to move inside while squad member one can provide effective cover?

Works for me, promotes move-cover-move instead of move a bunch and then deviate all the hell over alone, or move-cover-move in .8 and get penallized for moving period whereas .9 makes it easier to move short distances I.E. stairs in multistory buildings and provide accurate cover fire

Sounds good for those moments where the enemy is waiting to ambush anyone coming up the stairs in the Muttrah T shape buildings; You get ready round the corner, aimed in, tap a little Q or E to clear the wall and far less deviation.

Looking forward to trying it out, once again PR rewarding more realistic techniques - sounds good to me.

you'll love it guys, it always pissed me off in 87 when I walked to a different window of the same bunker I was in and couldn't shoot for 5seconds :D well done to Jaymz and co for making this happen for us.
