Uh . . . I don't know where you got the idea that the ACOG would not be included in Project Reality. :? "Puppy" in that sentence was not a figure of speech for the ACOG (which is definitely official issue), it was referring to the actual puppy (as in, baby dog) in this soldier's pocket.

The ACOG is a 4x telescopic sight. That's all.

Reflex sights have a very wide window and you look through them without having to take aim close up. For example you would look down a reflex sight with both eyes open and your head no where near the sights. its a quick look and if the dot is on them pull the trigger. Reflex sights offer you a much borader field of view because your eye is not fixed on the sight.

Acog sights are more conventional in the sense you need your eye about an inch or so near the scope to see through it as you should. They are not as good in close combat as a reflex sight because it requires you to spend an extra milsecond to line up your sight with the target then it does with a reflex. The advantage of course and the puropse of these sights is for longer range targets that the reflex would prove allmost useless for. acog sights give you much less field of view as you only see what the scope lets you see inside its walls. Mabe 75degress i dunno im guesing here.

When looking down a reflex sight in game it SHOULD not take up your whole screen - you would still have partial normal view but with a box taking up about 1/2 of the screen in the middle or slightly to the right.

both scopes have light enhancing optics that adjust to the light. also can somone confirm that the wire on the acog is for soaking in light? im not sure on that one.

well i dont know what you are talking about in the first place... ACOGs (well for me) are not in short supply i bought one from Trijicon a month or so ago and it got here three days later....

and you can mount a optical sight to any modern M16, there is a hole in carry grip/ rear sight and you can buy conversion rails for it....

oh and on the M16A4 you cant forget the free floating barrel for more accuaracy

I mean in the military supply chain, which moves even slower than the post office. Soldiers can and do privately purchase their own optics, but it can be expensive, even with hazardous duty pay.

Only the Squad Designated Marksmen (US Army) and Squad Advanced Marksmen (USMC) have them.

Its more about money then the manufacturer not being able to keep up. they gotta buy a bunch and then pack and ship em off the the troops which when you think about the volume here would take a while to do...

The M16A4 needs to be added since most frontline combat troops have them, same with the ACOG. If you've seen video footage and pictures most of them have some kind of aiming device. Instead of being unlocked it could randomly pick between a Aimpoint, ACOG or the Eotech holosight( if it can be done). I've seen Eotechs quite a few times. If you don't know what an Aimpoint is, its the sight on the stock M4.The Eotech is the sight mounted on the front rail.(1st pic) If its not added to everything, it should at least be on Special Ops/ Recon.

as silencer more likely.

1. place pup on barrel
2. fire guns
3. watch guts flying all over the place.
4. check if you hit anything.

omg, that is soo evil... its much better use as armour, not silencer.
