Ahh... Yes, the Fallujah West Massacre at Tactical Gamer.

I guess you can go on a bit of a power trip inside that Abrams, eh?

Do you remember the body count on innocent bystanders before being banned? I lost count after about a dozen. 'Twas not the proper way to win hearts and minds within the local population me thinks.

Generally, I just tend to try and ignore civilians. If they're close enough to become a problem, then they're close enough to be arrested. I never give chase to a fleeing civilian unless I'm absolutely sure I'm able to catch him, and only if I know it's safe.

Other than that though, just try your best to move on your objective and leave them twiddling their thumbs with their Hajji friends. They're not worth getting killed over.

To be fair, I think it was seven...ish. I wasn't banned for killing civvies, I was banned for attempting to exploit game mechanics to circumvent spawn times. Do not do this on Tactical Gamer. The admins will catch you and administer justice. Swift, fair, Justice. I've been good since then, honest. And I was the cupola gunner, I was getting pelted with rocks, when I got out, I was ambushed by insurgents with actual guns in the bushes.

Everything I fear about the collabs came true and I was unpleased.

It has to be said, being civ is amazing fun in this version. Hes like some sort of spiderman, throwing rocks at the brits annoying them, and when they start chasing him on foot,
he can just throws a rope up on a rooftop or run towards armed companions for support.

Foot chases are great fun :D (but I have a feeling they may be a bit overpowered now, so I enjoy it while it lasts.)

Ha, no, I was just poking fun at you. Cougar, an admin, was one of the countless civilians slain and wasn't too pleased about it.

Yes, Civilian is amazingly fun right now.
Occassionally I will see a good player running around. But still....mostly I will get shot on sight.
On, the negative scores are such a delight to see.
Remember, shooting a civilian outside ROE doesnt count as a kill ;)
Funniest one was this humvee speeding down that PURPOSELY hit me. Then got blown up.
I bet he was raging at his spawn time!

Ive never been killed in a crossfire by good bluefors(even though I must admit Ive tried a few times). It always seems to be that one nob with a scoped AR who after looking at me for several seconds, then guns me down on an open street.

Edit: fixed language

Human wall tactics are great.
You can also stop vehicles, or lead them into mines.
Did that to a tank and APC. One time I stopped an APC, some smurf threw a grenade at it (WHY?!) Well, I am standing there waiting for them to open up on it with RPGs. None.....Then one of them gets out, runs and arrests me (sprint glitch). Where are the smurfs? Sitting up doing nothing.
Sadly I had gotten away from my team.

It is pretty funny to laugh at the noobs. No matter how many times you tell them they still keep at it. I wonder if they realize the kill doesnt count. Guess they play too much MW2.

im guessing that buckshotting innocent civilians in the face is a glitch? and can it be fixed? every once in a while u can be a good distraction but normally i just end up getting arrest by buckshot. makes civi pointless unless you are up against anything long range.

No. It's to represent something akin to a beanbag shotgun to arrest at range.

proof? it says "BUCKSHOT" as the weapon when you equip it. and do soldiers really carry around beanbag rounds.... or for that matter that blow open doors?

"Shotguns are deadly when used in close quarters. They can also be used to
breach locked doors. Insurgents shot with them count as being arrested. This is
intended for cases where civilian collaborators hide in hard to reach spots
."

From the manual.

lol you read the manual. doesn't mean its right. is it even realistic to have average soldiers with non lethal shotguns? this is all aside from the fact that its lame.

You know what's lame? Collaborators that throw up a hook and then hang themselves on the rope in midair so they can't be arrested. Or Collaborators on roofs or behind walls baiting you in the sights of a sniper. The current regulation is ok, and prevents misuse of the collaborator kit.

@illidur: Well if it was in the manual that was updated for 0.9 i think you can pretty much take it to be correct.

but for every civi thats hanging on a rope uselessly, thats 1 less guy you have to worry about. hitting with a rock requires you to be close enough to be punched. and you dont have to arrest a civi.... you can ignore and keep going.
