In the video it shows the door closing as the chinook takes off, so it can't be that high. Maybe it's just an extra button or two that you can press to open the ramp or close it?

But the thing is bots wouldint press the button.

You only even survived because co-op is pretty much vanilla when it comes to chopper handling. Try that in a real round and as soon as it picks up speed your dead.
the door moves on its own, went to local server once .9 was out, took off and landed then immediatly jumped out, saw the ramp finish dropping on its own when i hopped out.

Yeah, but the point is the bot must 'know' which 'button' to press within the game to enable it to close the ramp, in the same way that they can move about etc. So, methinks we're just missing something about the chinooks controls. To the manual!

Aah, but this has nothing to do with modding the controls, they've got to be there already for the bot to be able to do it =D question is, what are those controls.

The door has the landing gear code on it (pretty obvious)...

Im going to prove you wrong on your server insurgency ill do it tommorow 7am (GMT) and ill post the video on this thread.
So tommorow ill prove it truley works. Co-op has the same heli handling as in normal PR.

You wont because ive seen it happen plenty of times. People stand in the back of my chopper, they are fine till i pick up speed then suddenly teamkills start showing up. We were screwing around on Silent Eagle when the server was empty and I had a russian hop in the back, I got a kill just for flying around. and besides, bots never fly like humans do, you saw how he wobbled like that on takeoff. Flies like a newbie just trying it out for the first time.

Only way this could work without high speeds is... Yamalia, get 20 people in the chopper lift high up in the air, go slowly over the objective, let them parachute out...

I think this only works because the server is a local one, making the amount of collision checks the server does per time unit larger than on a normal server (where people usually fall out or die when the chopper goes faster or turns because because it skips the collision check, or something). Then again, i'm in no way an expert on that stuff and it's only a presumption, so i might as well be wrong.

Nevertheless, it looks very cool!

hahahaha its funny that you mention that.
I was on silent eagle and some russians drove there apc into the airport where the chinhooks spawned. They got HATTED and had to bail out of there apc, One ran into the the back of a parked chinhook, i was in a tank and my gunner acutally shot the chinook with a shell just to kill the russian inside, Lol good times.

Yeah it does, my gunners are usually high on herb or drunk on whiskey.
