<3 Hamas. Mostly because of their weapon diversity. They need something like a sapper kit though.

Played as Hamas for the first time last night. They are an interesting faction in the game. Very diverse weaponry as the poster above stated. I prefer them over the Insurgents and Taliban for sure.

Best part when playing as them last night was when I found an Israeli kit lying on the ground, picked it up, and snuck around and flanked 4 IDF soldiers. At first they started shooting at me because I just had my head sticking out so they thought I was friendly. They stop shooting then I wait about a minute and open fire, killing all 4 of them.

I like their uniforms too more than the Insurgents and Taliban too.

I would like to see the hamas get an unarmed collaborator, since they are kind of known for using human shields.

Hi i am new in this forum, but i played hamas faction for serveral times (both maps). i just got one little improvement idea. every one who played hamas and other insurgents faction recognized that they all have the same music for the bombcars/trucks. for more realistic atmosphere i would prefer to hear real hamas sounds, when i am playing the hamas faction. Maybe the PR developers can use this sounds to improve the hamas faction: RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting. and dont be afraid no copyrights, etc.

Hamas needs proper combat engineer kits - not that pathetic **** that now populates the kit - artillery IEDs, are you serious? What kind of obvious imbalance is it to give blufor C4 and mines but Hamas get mines and artillery IEDs which don't stick to vehicles - oh that's right because in real life blufor forces arn't getting their asses shot to hell and gone the moment they step outside their little FOB cities, with pizza hut & wal-mart surrounded by barbed wire. In real life hamas aren't using any kind of bomb vehicles or plastic explosive... correct?

But even with such a ridiculous DEV imposed imbalance, hamas, if they know what they're doing, will go out, kill the blufor player carrying the combat engineering kit, bring it back to hamas territory and blow the **** out the blufors... and for those that don't believe this is going on, play on any server where the serious players play and you'll get kicked for taking a blufor combat engineering kit (and sometimes HAT) out of the mainbase - roflmao.

Gives them something to flank with and it would avoid the problem of hamas mining the 3-4 entrances to the city.
And i noticed how given the smallness of the map and the fact that hamas has 2 mains it is extremely easy to flank as hamas.

Oh and the other day as hamas one of them destroyed our tank with an incendary> WTF??LOL, some high grade thermite.
I support this.

I think that in all honesty, despite realism, the combat rifles of both the IDF and HAMAS are too damaging, as a result this makes both sides' field dressing useless, because when you have an enemy in your sight (or you yourself are being spied on), a full auto setting usually sends enough rounds in their general direction to be able to get one good hit to the head and score a kill (or death). So...We need a bit more leniency in damage to be able to utilise field dressings and kill some realism for the sake of making some.

I think the M4 marksmann is too much unbalanced. The accuracy is awesome on full automatique shoot.

You can't miss an ennemy running, even if you have to move fast to aim.

in the gaza strip there are lots of civilians and the hamas use them against the idf.its what they are known for.... im wondering why there isn't a civilian class for hamas? there was even a no-fire initiated because of civilians but that didnt stop the hamas. i think its a realistic and worthy suggestion.

I'm not sure if I understood you right. However if you drop your kit for 1 minute, you will be treated as a civilian on Hamas faction. You may have not thought that Hamas faction ingame portrays the armed wing of the whole organization thus no civilians needed.

Hamas are well known for using human shields...even usign children as shields.
You can drop your kit, and this will act as a unarmed combatant. I dont remember if it has rocks to throw though.

I think Hamas is a very decent faction indeed. If the right teamplay is in order, they are difficult to beat. Infantrykits are well balanced imo en the vehiclecount is enough for the maps they need to be used on

Israeli soldiers got charged by International Commitees for using Palestinian as human shield during Gazar war in 2008. However, we can't just put that in game because a lot of people will feel offended.

In Hamas case, people in Gaza do support Hamas. Some will obviously join them in their cause.

I'm reverting back to the original post:

Project Reality is a 'realism' game... so the factions are going to have weapons that match reality. Hamas just started using missiles/rockets that can damage a Merkava tank, so give the PR developers some time - if they even decide to change something

I must say Gaza beach is my favourite map in PR. The best team wins on that map, that simple. Sometimes you get IDF that just run around being tards trying to bumrush the town and failing miserably. Other times Hamas gets pushed around so bad that you can taste blood in your mouth.

I havent really felt like the map is imbalanced in any way or that any team is at a disadvantage because of their equipment/assets. Hamas can just wait out the APC's and tank in the town and kill any troops trying to enter.

I would love to see more urban insurgency maps with Hamas and IDF.

Gaza Beach Skirmish is bugged. Only one spawn point shows up, and frequently players are spawned in out of bounds.

As a faction, I enjoy playing Hamas. I think that there should be an option (perhaps left click or right click kit selection) for combat engineers to get C4 versus Arty IED for the Combat Engineer kit. Also, as I have mentioned elsewhere, any faction with the capability to emplace mines should have the ability to remove those mines as well, thus the Combat Engineer kit needs a wrench, perhaps on the alternate kit that has C4.

I also think that Hamas should be featured in more maps. I would love to see a version of Beirut as Insurgency with IDF as Blufor versus Hamas. Leave IDF main where it is, set Factory, or somewhere in the eastern end of the map as Hamas main and have fun.

Controversial tactics in the Gaza War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hamas use children and other civilians (that dont want to get shot) as human shields. There are quite a few videos of it. It is a well known, and widely used tactic.
The IDF use of human shields is not accepted, and definitely not widely used at all. There is a big difference. The incidents that are reported are dubious at best as well.

About the hamas drop kit issue, the best way to solve the problem is to give the IDF a restrainer, so they can do something againt the unarmed.

I remember playing Asad Khal and 2 unarmed hamas guys ran right up to me and started punching me until i was bleeding, i had no other choise than to kill them. And that gave me the extra respawntime and -200 etc etc.. which kinda sux! and about the realism, the IDF have capture soo many Hamas / Hizbollah / PLO guys so the restrainer wont be to unrealistic. Just too bad that the surrounding world are forcing Israel to release terrorist, even though we are on a "war on terror"
