Ye Tomahawk / cruise missiles is something I've brought up in the dev forums and we may attempt to implement them in the future but right now got more important things to work on :)

Main problem with getting a Tomahawk to work realistically ingame is that in r/l, they fly low to the ground to avoid radar and make them much harder to shoot down, and getting them to do that ingame, with also getting them to hit there targets dead on is a little complicated and may make it not workable with the BF2 engine.

As for how realistic they are to be used in a battlefield situation, pretty realistic, epically when taking out high value static targets which ingame could easily be seen as a firebase.

This is in fact a rather old re-suggestion. If you would kindly use the search function or the A.S.S stickied thread, you would know that someone has already thought of Cruise Missiles. But this is not the case.

I myself can find little evidence that Tomohawk missiles are used in conjunction ground operations and combat formations, such as we see in PR. This is not to say it doesn't happen, but I'm sure soldiers and their video cameras would be just as, if not more, fascinated to witness cruise missiles impacting as they would multiple 2000lb JDAMs; turning up on the internet for all of us to see some months later.

Thread locked for re-suggestion.
