I was thinking of adding it already, could still do so for next version, vehicles are easy to change for every release after all. Will see what toys we have for next release and which ones could be added to beirut, there is 3 layers that can be used after all, all of em doesnt need to have havoc, but maybe one of those layers could have it while other 2 layers has different vehicle setups =) Just need to make admins realise it too.. so they dont always use the 64 layer.

also, can you move the vehicle repair point for russians? it can be camped from approx 280 roofs. we put transport trucks in front of it to guard the apcs in the battle ;)

The way I see it, Russia should get a t90. On Muttrah, opfor has BTRs, and Bluefor has LAVs AND a cobra! This is to represent the obvious air superiority of the US over the fictional MEC.

But the question is, isn't Russia more known for their t90's than their Havocs? IDF have pretty advanced attack choppers and jets, so how about switching it around?

If you did not know already the Russians are at a huge disadvantage in Beirut

The Russians were known for T-72's In the cold war for when the Iron Curtain fell and war started the first thing would be tanks massed made with technology better then the M60 Patton, the scary thing is they still made them everyday until the T-80 pattern which was still outnumbered by T-72's. T-90's are newer after-soviet made then the Havoc's production lines in the 80's so there we go. Russia now in days is not known for any military manufacture production or prowess except for counter terror teams and SWAT.

All of the IDF aircraft are from multiple counties and mainly US, if all else the have more old then new, I do not think they have many or any attack choppers.

Winning as Russia in the 64 version is very hard since they lack armor support. This is why I support the inclusion of the Havok or a TOW APC.

At the very LEAST give russia a better HAT kit. That Tandem deal is obsolete when a tank is sniping you from more than 100m away.

Every time i played this map the Russian’s get massacred, im sure the lack of armour support for the Russian’s have some thing to do with it. but i think what really killing them is the tavor's, that rifle is so accurate it like a laser gun it just too good.

Iv been able to snipe entire squads with that rifle, if the Russians don't get a hold of them there screwed they simply cant compete.

It seem the Russians can make landfall no problem on the main island, they even can set up FOB's and set up a defence,

But when the Israeli’s mount a counter attack the Russians are screwed, they just get pushed into the sea.

These a things that need to be changed.

vehicle spawns should be at the docks, not at the ship, that way tanks can be added, having vehicle spawn next to carrier is too awkward.

Seriously reconsider the amount of armour you give to the Israelis, id only give them a hand full.

The travor needs to be nerfed a little.

Wow... What an odd thread. Odd in the sense that everyone seems to be having the opposite situation to me when it comes to losing as the Russians.

I've played the map by my count nine full times since 0.917, the most recent being yesterday. Seven of those were on Russia, and of the nine times, Russia won six times. They only capped out the IDF once, but because the IDF always lost their tanks + APCs, the IDF always lost on tickets.

Even yesterday, I joined when the russians were pushed back to their factory-docks last flag, we just set up heavy defense with two squads and massacred their armour and infantry as they came in the few choke points.

I think those of you complaining about armour need to learn how to use the TOWs, even with just 2 on the map, you can decimate armour... no problem :)

I agree. It's a matter of russian team experience. IDF has no advantages here if You know how to properly use russian vehicles. Of course it will be more "cool" to fly around in havoc and crush everything You can see, everybody wants a bigger gun, eh?
And why do we need second muttrah?

Havoc would be a nice addition but not necessary because Russia has good chance to win. But I agree that Russian HAT kit is useless at long ranges, they need a better weapon.

Havok is a good idea, but the IDF should get 2 tanks then. As the IDF APC's are USELESS. 2 Tanks vs havok = relatively even.

But when then the havok is inevitably shot down, like attack choppers always are due to either pilot error or fail forward air controllers... wouldn't that just exacerbate the situation that the OP and others are complaining about, because they've got two tanks to deal with and apparently 'terrible' HAT kits (and apparently no TOWs because I'm the only person who ever deploys them?)?
