yeah, especially when you don't have a mike yet and trying to type that persons name... just not worth it.
Mines Jarryd_455495 but i want to change it soon to something kooler but still easy to say. got something in mind but cbf changing it yet.

If someone joins my squad with a weird and wonderful name that i can't pronouce or find a simple shortening for, i greet them and inform that they are hereby known as Bob.


About the only time i don't get called Animal is when i've first joined a squad and it becomes Animaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal!

yeah, my in game name is obviously Sharpie48. Although i do get the occasional "CIA get over here!"

Even better: Two or more players with the same pronounceable part of their name. I should have gotten a screen shot but one time I had a squad that was something like this:

It took about 15 minutes for everyone to get used to their 'new names'.

DEE-TAKS, some lol variations such as dhacks, ragetacs and tictacs pop up occasionally.

But this guys name...always used to join my squad. It was stupidly unpronounceable so we called him Billy, he made a new account, turns out his name is Lewis lol.

i was kinda stupid when i did my bf name.. but luckily i could typ in 'Alex' in the clan tag

See, I don't have this problem when I SL.. I give people names when they comoe into my squad. Most of the time they have a theme, but recently I have been giving a lot of names ending in "y", like stevey and baby



If I'm feeling uninspired it's "Guy 1", "Guy 2"...

Mapr@ IWillKillYou(HUN) and some people say just only the MAPR@ part and this causes sometimes trouble xD

Oddly enough mostly newcomers in PRT seem to fail to pronounce my name (and Airsoft_soldier who went as far as crediting me like that despite me correcting him a dozen times)

Rudd's right. whatever your name it, it will be shortened to a single syllable, most often the shortest single syllable. for example:

AstralProjekt = Astral

RobotFungus = Fungus

Th3xWh33lman = Wheel

Azoth = Az

as you can see, even if its one syllable, it will be shortened even further.

And for future referance, my name online is not Thex

Who plays with me I tell to call me Rom or Roma. Speaking my name (italian) is hard for english speakers.

Scot. Simples. If someone with an odd name comes into my squad, I will say it in the way it is clearly not meant to be said, so they change

Annoying as hell, most times I call out the kits and not the individual name.
