Heh, I believe mumble really is the solution. Positional based, side independent comms are the next big step, and I'm amazed at how few people are taking up the cause (when I play on the ]H[ servers it's only ever me + 1 guy in mumble, which is heaps sad)! If you have a moderately skilled coder, just knock something up in autoIt like the following and you're on your way :) . All credit goes to my brother Jerrif for this one.

Thats, my wish.. Have everyone in PR on mumble.

Back on topic:

Maybe there should be a sound made by critical wounded bodies.
Like a breathing sound, or a sound that lets you know he is hurt as hell.

maybe some coughs every few sec, or some choking sounds.

And if someone clicks the ''give up'' button, there should be a sound that you can exactly hear him dieing, taking his last breath.

This will make it more realistic if you walk over a few bodies and you hear all those sounds. And it is helpfull aswell.
I can kinda imagine it being pretty epic, exactly :O

Hmm an interesting idea but I don't think it would add much since they can currently just right click their give up button and it continually calls for a medic... so it's much the same... and I think it would sound silly with 6 coughing bodies in a room, I dunno. Mumble works for us fine on bigD, but yeah on your servers that don't use it I can imagine that it must be very annoying :)

I think having critically wounded guys making coughing/hacking/etc sounds is a good idea. It's simple and doesn't add a new com rose option or add the arcade 'HELP ME' to the game.

thats what the right click option on "give up" is for....

this whole suggestion is even unnecessary if everybody would use this.

True, but it's been my experience that half the players don't understand that you can right click on the various options for that specific action. Hacking or coughing will allow even the most ignorant player get noticed.

Why do we always have to cater for the lowest common denominator...? Make a game that a fool can play and only fools will play it :)

Edit: Page 11 on the manual, second paragraph. Just like not knowing the law is no excuse for breaking it, not knowing the features of the game when they're detailed in the manual is no excuse.

cmon, i still dont know exactly bout the ROE but do is suggest ingame-HQ-messages because of that?

I got it!

Player is shot, falls down wounded... can be revived
but if he releases, have his corpse image change, possibly to a version with red splatter on it?
That shouldnt be to hard to code at all, wounded corpse and dead corpse ^_^

Or closed eyes perhaps?

And if the body is face down, have the resuscitate tool flip them over.

I am afraid you will get a lot of memory errors on that one and an cpu upgrade might be in order too for it to work. Also I agree its good the way it is, wounded guys who want to will make themselves noticed, medics who wont revive you when you are rightclickin on give up cant be arsed anyhow. It works fine on other servers, there is a decent ammount of people not as dedicated to the gameplay the devs are trying to built, hopefully they will just see an game with outdated grafics in PR and leave to a game they like better, like COD.

We really need these features because 1 not everyone uses mumble so that cant be a solution. 2 i waste about 3 pens on a dead guy. plus its more options

70% of the time I could not find anyone else on mumble channel.

50% of the time I could not find mumble channel for a specific server...

And dead guys do not go "no, I am not dead, you just walked over my body... No, no,... back more,...there."

Read the entire thread before you necro it. And never bring back a thread just to post that you agree with it. Its annoying and causes clutter on the boards that we don't like dealing with.
