Sux to know Dice used the DC devs as disposable talent

Side from that, I do agree with Dice to scrap the idea due to the fact that no one will ever even land in BF2. The troops just bailed and parachuted down and even the pilot would just use the BH for taxi and bail it without even landing it. So yes, fastropes was unnecessary and impractical in bf2 and DC however; now that we cannot do this in PR we do see a need for it, not a "want" it. For example, on maps such as Missile Silo there is very few places to land and many trees around, for this type of map it would be most efficient.

But then again, there are not many maps like missile silo and on most maps you can land safely. On maps such as Ramiel, fastropes would be impractical due to the fact that you're an open target for an rpg and its best to land the sucker and have buildings as cover. Whichever way you view it, it would be up to the devs to weigh the need and wants of it, personally I wouldn’t spend time on it since its really just for sho.

I think this is my 1st time talking on fastropes topic so there's my 2 cents 8-)

Killing DC in the process, leading to Frontlines Fuel of War which was a decent vBF2 alternative whilst people played it.

I really don't see what the big deal is with fastropes. I don't find them very 1337 tbh. I don't care if they're in PR...
