Definitely not, Arma 2 is a different game from BF, so Its what people like, and are able to run.

Since BFPR ceased to be for low-end players anymore I think that many people will switch to ArmaPR as it is much more up to date.

What do you mean when you say low-end players

he means low graphic players with slow coputers, i can say i can run PR on a 512 MB graphics card and 1 GB of RAM so its perfectly fine to play on.
Also ArmA2 is to serious for a lot of PR players and BF2 R provides a nice balnce between arcade and reality imo.

Lets put it this way

BF2 - $8 on amazon
PR = free
Does not require super computer

ARMA 2 = $50
Requires super computer
Less played compared to BF2

Im sticking with BF2 R until I can afford new hardware and the game itself

I sure hope not. I'm not a fan of Arma2...and you cant make films neither as good/easy as in bf2

I have the 965, 5870 and same ammount of RAM.

I also have Arma2 but I refuse to play it. Maybe you feel sorry for me too but how can you not like PR?

When someone previously mentioned it isn't as 'smooth' it took the words out of mouth. It's nothing to do with framerate.

I dont think so ... well First ( post in PR ARMA2 section ) but overall ... Not every player who plays PR OWNS arma 2 ... so either they would all have to go purchase or Download lol .... which not alot of people want to do ... plus PR bf2 will always be the origional .... Now ..

PR 2 on the other hand is a WHOLE differnt story ... Yes i think you will have to pay for the download but overall the more elite players will transfer over to PR2 ... that may case a big HIT on pr bf2 player counts ... unless PR can keep gaining more support ... PRV is going to take Some players away but i would estimate only the newer members.. because they are experimenting with mods still.. but PRV WILL bring a whole bunch of new players because there isnt a Quality Bf2 Vietnam mod .. which i think will be overly sucessfull in bringing in new players

There are much more aspects of realism in ArmA 2 you know, so it's much harder to survive in this big combat enviroment, even for experienced PR:BF2 players.

And not everyone is willing to buy ArmA 2 just because of the (Mini!)mod of PR:ArmA 2.

More Arma2 players will go to play Arma2 PR.

Now that is a good vid. The Tune is one of my favourites for BsG.

As for players migrating. Well it's a bit of a hit and miss affaire. Some will move. Game play will be different. And hardware needs will (as as far as I am concerned, "Should" and needs to be very - Don't want no cheap losers using lower end settings on a high end card) high. Also the type of players that may start playing this will also come from the AmrA2 community and not from PR itself.

Get it if you can run it. I would.

Anyway I myself will never move to arma2 I hate that game although pr arma2 wont help the allready dwindleing player base.

How come people keep making these types of threads? I highly doubt that PR:BF2 will die when PR:ArmA2 is released. I'll keep the love coming for PR:BF2.

I just can't believe this. I'm trying to imagine how you feel on Laskar or faludjah, or dragon fly, or korengal.... May be you are still playing 0.5, how somebody told here?

Why do people think that you can't play two games?

I'm going to play both PR:Bf2 and PR:Arma2.

BF2 is getting old, and i even can't play it with windows 7 because of graphical bugs etc
So i will probably move to PR Arma 2
Arma 2 is also better in general
