Top notch work as always Rhino.
So does this mean the current chinese little bird is getting retired? Not that I would really miss it..
And Ive always loved this chopper, its so sleek and sexy.

yes, i guess the current pr wz-9 will be retired, since it is only used for training purpose in RL, the attack-version currently ingame is fictional.
nice work rhino, its always nice to see someone working on something he has passion for, and you've obviously got the passion for choppers

How is the HJ-8 missile system gonna work with a LB ? Like the A-10 & SU-25 where u fly close enough get lock and fire, or are they controlled by a co-pilot?

Actually the current PLA scout helicopter is WZ-11, from Armoured Fury.

Like Outlawz said, the "current chinese little bird" is a WZ-11 which is pretty different from a Z-9. The WZ-11 will probably stay for the purposes of a scout chopper only but the Z-9 and Z-9WA will most likley replace it on most maps, in its first release it will probably fully replace the WZ-11.
Elektro wrote:How is the HJ-8 missile system gonna work with a LB ? Like the A-10 & SU-25 where u fly close enough get lock and fire, or are they controlled by a co-pilot?
This chopper isn't really a "LB", its a light transport/attack helicopter, kinda like the Lynx and the attack version is kinda like the attack huey, other than it has loads of different kinds of load outs.
For the HJ-8 missiles we are not 100% sure yet but what we will most likley have is a realistic setup of it where the co-pilot controls them (while looking though the camera on the nose) and since they are wire guided he will have to keep his course over the target from launch to impact.
Here is a good documentary on the Lynx with TOW missiles in Iraq which is quite similar to the Z-9WA with HJ-8 missiles in many ways (and before everyone starts suggesting we should make a Lynx with TOW missiles, its going out of service since the Apache full fills the role better

). If you watch near the end of the video at around 40mins you can see how the TOW missiles work

I have a little question,
the HM-1 belongs to the FARC or Brazilian Forces?
It says FARC in the end of the small title for HM-1

Would you prefer for there to be no choppers ingame and to have to walk on foot to the next objective on a 4km map?
Its not like we are going to saturate the maps with more choppers just these new choppers give more flexibility to a team and to us (the developers) rather than just having a big "cow" as the only transport chopper or the WZ-10 being the only attack helicopter and then not even mentioning we have the French and Brazilian versions too.
