If it was my call, it would have been removed long time ago when I actually suggested it, but all these arguments came around and we kept it as it is.

Yes, this can be done, by removing the "c_GISayAll" keybind. Not entirely sure if it can be worked around by typing game.sayAll "text" in the console though, maybe someone could test that on an online server to see if it's possible?

As for my opinion on this, I think it would add to the game, but it would also remove things, making it harder to admin and organise matches and stuff. For example, in the Australian PR Skirmish ladder, the 2 teams organise when they are ready over global chat, since they are not in the same TS/Vent/Mumble channels.

Should smack talking/taunting etc not be down to admins actually stopping it? Dont really see how this would actually achieve much..

Could the commanders screen global chat button still work? If it could, it would enable cross team communication for administration, disputes, etc. While still getting rid of 99% of the pointless chatter. And it would be somewhat realistic that the commanding officer is the only one who talks with the enemy.

while I understand the global chat reasons....99.99% of the time it filled with two idiots that are already crappy at the game.

It would be a wonderful server option IMO, places were team work is more important then ****** bags fighting over the global chat about how leet each other are.
