I only got bored in .8 since there weren't many new maps. But .9 has so much replayability for me.

Boredom barely occurs, sometimes I wish some maps wouldn't be played as much and others to be played more.. I do however get annoyed by some stuff but that's over when I play with some nice people/good teamwork.

I don't get bored; sometimes I need a break after a marathon session but I wanna play all the time and my mates are fed up of it now?! =S

One thing that really bugs me is being able to see how the battle is going to end up.
Like 20 minutes in all of your assets are destroyed and flags are taken from you (muttrah)

And team stacking where a whole clan vs everyone makes me leave much faster.
Maps, always the same thing... camp here... camp there... tank goes that way.

To keep people playing more, you need to keep variation in maps and game modes.

Predictable gameplay leads to repetitive gameplay.

Having a variety of games helps this, if you only play PR and nothing else then your bound to get bored of it, if your vary your gameplay a little, when you eventually come back to play PR you will find it much more enjoyable because you will be learning rather then just repeating what youve been doing for the last 2 months again and again.

But it normaly takes me about a week of casual play (noon - 6pm) to get bored, even of a new version.

I've found that I only play Co-Op now because playing multiplayer is just no fun. When I play a game, I don't want to go 0-10 in a round just by getting shot by vehicles and people taking advantage of glitches and the such. It's supposed to be fun. The effectiveness of vehicles and other things make it impossible to have fun playing infantry, and the respawn times of vehicles in multiplayer make so that you're so worried about crashing or getting shot down that it's not fun and then you get yelled at for "lolz noobz cr@s41ng teh @ssets roflcopterz" I've also found more and more unrealistic and asshat players are playing like the ones who talk like the above mentioned comment. The BF2 engine is just not built for the ultra realism that PR is aiming for, and it just becomes an annoying simulator.

The title of the topic bored me, let alone the content...

But PR dosen't bore me since I spend so much time modding that I dont play it that much these days and when I do get round to playing a few rounds its all good

Bored of PR NEVER i only get annoyed by people starting threads like these and cupcakes using assets they have no idea how to and stupid SLs, medic, pilots.

I dont get bored of "PR" i get bored of the people who play it. with two good teams i can play all day long.

Im kinda same as Gazz i only ever play PR if people that i like playing with are playing. I never join a server and join a random squad.

Well... I love most of the 0.9 maps. Especially INS. As long as I'm with my buddies I simply can play it for hours. Last weekend we played like 4-5 hours.

But if I'm alone (generally during week days) I can only stand for 1 round. If teams and squads are so bad even not that much.

Yeah I would agree with gazz. I find myself loading up pr to see teams wildly stacked and the retard team all in the mountains where there are no flags. I simply disconnect and try again some other time. We used to be able to turn the battle with a good squad or two; now if some sniper crew drives the truck up into the hills or city and abandons it your team is at huge disadvantage. No offense snipers but i have yet to see snipers capture flag, build firebase, kill tanks apcs

Like gazz and many others here I rarely get very bored with the game itself, it's just that the team needs to be using proper teamwork and know what they're doing to a certain extent for me to really enjoy it, usually. Being in or having a good squad makes it a lot more fun, but in the end it's all up to those other 63 players whether I have a good time or not.
And I've been getting less and less of that lately.

I try to play until next version comes out but due to my computer's slowness I usually switch to Vbf2 couple weeks before the new release.

If you want better teamwork and therefor more fun, get involved with a server, work on it, put something back to achieve what you want.

You can't really expect to randomly drop on servers and hope you're going to get game play up to the level you enjoy with randoms after years of game play and PRT (many of you here).

After the demise of RT, that last summer was a great place for good fun TW battles, I found that I felt unsatisfied with more standard game play, so a choice presents itself:

a) Apathy which means I lose out by not wanting to play PR so much

b) Work at it with a server amiable to my input to try and get what I want, and at the same time hope to 'give back' to many more gamers a more enjoyable PR experience.

Conclusion: Like PR but unsatisfied with game play? Get of your *** and stop moaning?

It's very long time I play PR and I can see the changes from release to release, sometimes I like them sometimes not but the game changes so it's difficult to get bored.

I dont' like insurgency mode at all and I find skirmish mode too much scaled down but sometimes I play insurgency or skirmish with a group of friends and it's not boring at all.

Maps. Everyone knows the way to add life to a game or a mod is to publish new maps, do you remember Op Snow Storm ? It wasn't perfect but it was a new map and it was fun. I know dev team search for 4km high quality maps, I understand, but 2km maps can be fun and can be edited in only a fraction of the time a 4km requires not speaking of bugs; PR doesn't need attack helicopters or planes to be fun !

For .90 I actually was not waiting for it when it came out so I was surprised.

But geting bored for me playing PR is pretty hard. You just donßt have to play the same maps all over again and change servers every once and a while depending on the traffic on that server.
But I never had it that I stopped playing because I waited for a new version. Probably more like the other way round.

I only get bored after rounds... It seems like there could be many different things to do each round. When you use up your methods you create more. The patches never get boring to me.

Havent got bored of the game for 1 yearand 7 months its great. I just dont play at midday which is terrible as people that think they can squad lead cant and do stupid stuff so i really only play at noght thats when PR is awsome
