One question remain.

this has be constructive?

ohhhhhhhh no

maybe a bit, since you got osbrutec vision, but what is the point?

Eotech on the weapon in real life, eotech on the weapon in game. Thats my thinking.

I agree that to make the weapon into a full fledged main weapon the devs might want to review its power, range and deviation (or lack of) ect.

although theres no way the devs are planning on putting a scope on it. it'll probably be an EOtech or irons instead of both. there is no magnification for either of them and they are both for CQC. it would be nice to get the choice though. IRL its a huge advantage to have in EO but in game they would function at pretty much the same level

Bellator wrote:The better question would be how shotgun is better than an assault rifle? It isn't. The rifles kill quickly, especially AK-47 and G3, which require just one shot. The less powerful rifles compensate with greater accuracy and less recoil, making 7.62 and 5. mm rifles roughly equal. And if you can't hit your target, then practice. You're far deadlier if you wield a rifle: in the meanwhile, I enjoy gunning down those shotgun noobs.
Of course I use it only on CQB. But the thing about the shotgun is that you can be surprised and shoot against the enemy. You hit his foot, he's dead. Long range is fairly useless...
But also I think the shotgun in CQB is specially efficient for me (over a rifle) is because of my ping... I can literally waste some 5 rounds at an enemy and he still kills me... The shotgun (that literally just requiers 1 shot at any body part and has virtually no deviation) is actually safer for me.

YouTube - Army's new combat shotgun

this video claims it sofr anti vehicle duties at VCPs etc, which might mean such a anti passenger capapblity should be portrayed

Shotguns have been around since man was riding horses and coaches, hardly MW2, now if the suggestion was about shotgun silencers, then you would be correct, but it's not.

or if you talking about Eotechs again, your an dummy cause your point was proven twice to be incorrect and baseless

On the point, the shotgun ingame is underrated and deserves a bit more lovin

I find it amusing that people say that eotech would be unrealistic and turn the game into MW2, yet in the photo gazzthompson provided you can clearly see an eotech on the shotgun. Are you blind or am I hallucinating?

I like the suggestion. It adds a little diversity.

Same here except I switch between the two. I always use rifle when I am traveling with my squad when we are stationary or clearing a building that is when I use my shotgun. Or when we come in contact I try to get close as possible and pull it out.

I would like to see the specialist changed a bit with all factions. They are quite powerful, especially on INS.
Maybe a shotgun only and no rifle would be nice. A few slugs, and buckshot. maybe only the slug can open doors?
They have so much gear, they are the ultimate package! they can get everywhere, and kill anything.
Get rid of their grenades too.

Putting an EoTech on it sounds good for only the Brits if it is going to be the standard weapon...

Keep in mind they put the different sights on them more than the US I may add because like said b4 it is their main weapon... While the USMC and USARMY do not do it as much because they often carry the shotgun as a secondary weapon. I fully agree with the idea of putting the EoTech on the Brit side if it is their standard!!!

PS to the guy above we dont use slugs much for opening doors because they tend to over penetrate and could kill innocents on the other side of the door. We (US and I assume other coalition units too) use a special breaching shell, which does not over penetrate, kills locks great, and are very light weight compared to the slugs!!!

I think the kit is ever-so-slightly too powerful atm, this would probably balance it out quite nicely +1

sure you would get mw2 "wibes" from eotech but htat doesn't mean we can't have it..

+1 for a lovely idea

No. PR will never get the graphics and the teamwork that made MW2 what it is today.

+1 from me
It would allow people with a short attention span like me to spice up their weaponry without 'wasting' limited kits. Would also counter my feeling that specialist currently have no weak spots (probably why i'm always them). They can dominate CQB and also match most other kits at medium range by just switching weapons behind cover.
