This thread on the Penny Arcade forums is a good place to start out:
Computer Build Thead: AMD joins NVidia, Intel in confusing name club - Moe's Stupid Technology Tavern - Penny Arcade Forums
Once you've looked at a few builds there, feel free to look around newegg.com for pricing.
The basics you'll need are this:
Case (with correct mobo form factor)
Motherboard (with correct CPU socket)
CPU
Memory (correct speed/channel)
Video card
Power Supply
DVD drive
OS - probably best to get some version of Windows 7 64 bit
Some cheap fans - these are $2-10 each, but will really help increase the lifespan of your parts by keeping them cool
These other things you might be able to canabalize from computers you already have:
Mouse/Keyboard
Monitor
Speakers
If you have any questions, feel free to ask

Really mate, you'll have much better chances if you build it on your own. That computer is about as much brand new tech you can fit in a box, it's naturally going to be very expensive. You're much better off buying the tested but powerful stuff (i.e. last year's models) from newegg or similar and assembling yourself

Here's some hint words to get you started, I'm a bit too tired to do a full build
Spend less than $800
Phenom X4 945/955/965BE
4-6GB DDR3 1333mhz
Gigabyte G880 series
or ASUS M4A87TD series
GTX460
or HD6850
Seasonic M12 II Bronze 520W
CM 690 II Advanced
Samsung Spinpoint F1 hard drive
It says you're in america, so newegg is your friend

Thats a good PC actually, I'm surprised on the price,
If its the same one that I'm looking at on my web page
The 3.4 Quad core processor is amazing
The card will be good to play PR, and arma2 on medish
The ram is good 4gigs is nice, and that it can be upgraded to 16 is quite awesome
500GB HDD is more then enough for gaming, but look into a external if you wanna back stuff up or keep your pics or vids on there
Power supply will be good for the semi-latest cards, i think the new ATI and Nvidia cards require 500W but you can get a 5770 in there
Other then that I say buy it and reap your rewards.
*EDIT*
its not the PC if you wanna Crossfire or SLI
