I've just actually found this thread again as I thought about working on this project again, so here's an update: I got the terrain done, roads and was beginning to place statics.. but I've lost the files. I know they're _somewhere_ on this hodgepodge of a desktop, and I'm not reformatting this hard drive (getting a new one in a month) .. so they -will- be found, but I'm not sure what state they'll be in. We'll see what happens.

At the moment it's actually a toss up if I even want to finish this for PR - the reason I returned to the project was because I needed a terrain for an ArmA 2 project, but I've also thought about finishing it for PRBF2 or donating the completed ArmA map to PR:ArmA. If anyone's interested in the ArmA project, they can see the long-arse backstory for it
here, and I'll be posting most of my updates to the project that pertain to ArmA in that forum. If I do finish this for PR:BF2, it'll be a ways off unless I'm bored one weekend and start working on it randomly, so if anyone wants to take a crack at it themselves I'll send you the heightmaps.
So this project isn't dead, just on .. well, not really on a hold either, it's sort of half-migrated. xD
EDIT:
Quick question for you Rudd, as ArmA allows for 2048 terrain resolution, should I use that and just adjust the other options to still keep it 15km in size? That should help with the terrain tearing issues, right?
