True that! The most rewarding job in .9 is infantry SL or being a commander. If you have alot of experience I suggest you take on these roles, it makes a better game both for you and the other 5 ppl in your squad or the other 30 ppl on your team.

If you have a bad game, get over it. Just keep trying different servers. UKWF, TG, NWA, T&T are the servers I can suggest. NOTE there are prob alot more.

Check the files, it has the same deviation as every other weapon bar a couple of the AKs the only thing that makes it "more accurate" is because it has a high RoF and the same calibre as the M4 series with low recoil.
ryan d ale wrote:UAV is somewhat frustrating (bugged tearing/chopping sound from it is awful) and useless because you often have no idea where it is even if you zoom the map it's still not specific at all. Can't actively 'tag' targets to appear on map like SL can with RADIO and that makes positions sketchy - also I think the UAV is about to get worse with the 'circle' business but I have yet to watch the demo video.
I'd suggest you actually watch how it works before saying it's gonna make it worse. Believe me, it is a lot better solving all of the issues which you mention here.

In which case I will be impressed. I still haven't got round to watching the video.

Hmmm as for the Tavor I reviewed a video I made of me using it and it's not as insane as I believed it was but still too sick and it does seem like the recoil now you mention it. Just like in early days of PR with Special Forces M4 :)

BAD times...

The Tavor (like most guns in PR) is always painfully accurate and fast when you're on the business end :D

Western weapons are generally well engineered. Complaining about accuracy is silly. First time I ever fired an AR-15 I hit a target at 400 yards on my second shot and hit about 60 to 70% accuracy for the rest of the magazine. This was on my second day shooting ever. They are deadly in real life too you know.

You make in this game what you put into it. Bring your friends and it'll be much better.

Win 7 64-bit Ultimate with a Steam copy of BF2 and I've had zero problems.

The again, it's my 5th copy of BF2 so I'm used to it's quirks.

Well I think the community has divided to two very different groups.

The first one, group I belong to, want to play a realistic FPS game. Like the game was back in the 0.75, 0.8 and 0.85. But focus on the FPS part - I want teamwork and realism only to a certain point.

The other group doesn't want a realistic FPS game, but a combat simulator. Realism comes first. This is why we lost rally points. Direction indicators on the minimap. All that kind of stuff.

I've gotten used to the rally point system, I actually think its better now. Had some really good games. Just wanted to hop in and mention I had changed my opinion a bit since the original post.

My other opinions still stand though, especially about the one hit kill armor battles.

EA put a advert for PR in the BF2 pop-up message. For the next 2 weeks or so, it was impossible to find a carrier that was not full of crashed choppers.

Not sure if it was 2008 though.

And then there's the third group that want to shoot stuff, and be Rambo.

When it comes to PR i would gladly walk for ten minutes to get to an objective. You never know what you may find along the way.

The vanilla noob invasion was 2008. I remember it because it is when I first became interesting in PR. Didn't download it but became interested, 1 year later I join the forums and began playing. I haven't noticed that much of a difference tbh

I stopped playing because I was too damn addicted. I found myself playing for over 24 hours many times. I figured I pretty much became the equivalent to a WOW nerd. And my roomates repeatedly would call me a crackhead. yeah a PR crackhead.

I don't thing if you play 24 hours straight of PR is "addicted" it's just pure dedication!!! and there is nothing wrong with that, but it was the days of .3, .5 was the highlight, then .7, and so on. But .5 was for me the highlight of PR, and it only gotten better from there

0.5 was the shizz-nittle-bam-dizzle.
that's when I began playing, rapidly acquiring "dedication" to the game.
The teamwork, the missions, the uber effective ambushes. Oh the good ol' days
