Speaking of which, shouldn't a model of a tabuk rifle be done for the iraqi insurgents, and one advantage of this rifle, is that it can chamber ak-magazines (you have 30 rounds of Rock & Roll Baby!!), and is every bit as efective as an SVD, PSL, etc..., with in 600m range.dtacs wrote:
Situation:
In current conflicts, the SVD and its cousins (Romanian PSL, Iraqi Al Kadesiah) are feared weapons in Iraq and Afghanistan. The weapon fires the same round as the PKM (7.62x54mmR) and is responsible for hundreds of coalition deaths.
also the simillar shape of the tabuk rifle to that of the RPK and AK rifles, make it harder for bluefor to distinguish a marksman using tabuk rifle from other insurgents, giving him valuable time.
Also, regardless, of the advantages, it basically is more realistic for an iraqi insurgent to hold a tabuk rifle (or al-kadesiah rifle) than a russian SVD, and more realistic if this rifle had the same killing ability as the current in game SVD has (since it is unrealistic as pointed earlier that the 7.62x54R shot to the chest would not knock an enemy down straight away, but more realistic if this was a 7.62x39mm shot which the tabuk rifle uses).
Sorry if I deviated from the subject, but since we already started talking about the insurgent marksmen, I thought I might as well include this.
