What is your recording setup (mics specifically)? Would use of directional mics help against picking up unwanted environmental sounds?

By the way, when we talk about vehicle sounds, Canadian G-klasse, and Russian/Chinese GAZ sound terrible. These could be easy to capture as they are quite common as civilian vehicles.
Tournament play in Forgotten Hope and 21CW tournaments.
Organized PR play with [F|H] Invictus (light infantry regt.).

All military vehicles are issued from a base depot at Ashchurch near Gloucester regardless of arm. This allows for good control of military assets when being brought into service from new and saves on extra expense as one unit does the job of three.

Viking is used by the RM, however the British Army use them all the time just as much nowadays.

Also we have a RM company here in Bovington.

Warthog is a different vehicle altogether, as its a lot bigger, better protected .... and not even in theatre yet as it has just failed a test here in Bovington (Suspension bushes due to the extra armour it carrys now).

I got a bit distracted on my last post, daughter trying to pull books off the shelf and eat them.

As UKF pointed out they have an RM Troop at Bovington, makes sense as there is already a massive training facility with full workshop support, saves the RM paying for it.

Also we have training fleets spread across the UK as most military units hold a small vehicle fleet, the rest are held in reserve. Again this boils down to cost and also soldiers have access to train on vehicles they wouldn't normally have.

Good luck guys, can't wait to see how this will turn out in-game. If it does rain, we do need some rainy maps ;) haha.
Oh, and when you get some audio ready(not necessarily ready for implementation) give us some sneak peaks :D

You'll be doing US, arabia, China etc field trip next? :p
Well I suggested it before, but if this is considered i might have some friends at the Yuma Proving Grounds. They test both Army and Marine equipment. If you ever need any help I am your man.

Plus I was the sound engineer in my high school, so I am not completely clueless when it comes to sound.

PM me if interested.

Peace

When BIS started selling their engine technology to the military under the VBS title, the first military they sold it to was the Australian (then the US and now the UK). BIA was formed as a separate company, dedicated to supporting and facilitating the integration of their tech to each military's specification, and providing training for the operators.
