For example you would really have to be on your toes in a humvee to be able to spot the VD. And the cell phone detonated could easily be used on vehicles because lets face it, people wont always use CREW right, happens in the real world too.
Now foot soldiers could fine VD ieds pretty easily as they are moving slower. But the small cell phone ones would obviously be harder.
