Talking about making it worth your money: Get a HD 5670. DX11 has a lot of features that increase speed so it would make sense going for that in a new gfx card.

ARMA2 does not support crossfire/ at least not with out a lot of fiddling and even then not very well.

Your GPU is essentially two 5870 crossfired together in one GPU, and because this game does not support cross fire, you can't use both cores of you GPU and get full performance out of the card.

There are driver out that will help you use both cores, but the results are negligible.

if your lucky you might get up to 40FPS with certain drivers contained in this web link.

That the trouble with a aging system. Id try for a 5670, or if your processor can handle it a 5850,

FuzzySquirrel wrote:Oh Your right, but I was under the impression he wanted to play the game smoothly, not poorly. 9600GT or 4670's are going to be able to play on med (at least) with full vd, and if your upgrading you might as well make it worth your money.

Fuzzy is correct.

I have the 9500GT until June of 2011. When I get a new PC. Just so I can play PR.

trust me I can play Arma 1 & 2 but OA is getting a lil laggy.

So I'm gonna wait on buying ARMA2 until next year.
