Well its that way irl, at least when he wears an earpiece and surrounding soldiers cant really hear his conversation partner. IMO it is far better than "telepatical communication". One could argue that due to realism it should be default without the option to change it, that what he says in the radio channel is also transimmted in local speech, but this is a game I guess and if some players want to be able to telepatically communicate in the squadleader channel (other soldiers cant hear them talking) its okay I guess.

The "confused soldiers" we are speaking of can be fixed by the squad leaders addressing who they're talking to correctly... like... "alpha calling bravo, need support over". Done... await reply... Im pretty sure everyone in the squad will know who your talking to
