I like that click to target missiles system but I think the markers will be a problem for attack helicopters, How will you know where to start diving?

Experience. I think looking at the altitude and map will with some practise work fine.

Thermal, click-to-target... etc... That mean attack helo/jet-bomber ( like tornado etc.. ) will be able to drop bomb where they want to without having to keep the crosshair on :D

This is going to be Epic =D

That is absolutely awesome.

Should make a team cower if they have no counter to an asset. :)

I believe the system is on the Tornado and SU-33(?)[The Chinese Jet-Bomber], but the A10 and Su-25 won't be getting it since they don't have a dedicated gunner that controls the weapons via camera.

Awesome video! Looks like the Havok is really a force to be reckoned with now.

Whats up with the smoke though? I noticed the tank in the video popped smoke, I thought smoke was invisible to thermals?

That smoke was smoke from firing the weapon, and stuff like that (explosions, firing, etc) have a thermal signature.

Can you "guide" click-to-target lasers on the same way?
And are these lasers scout helis only or also for sql and uav?

After a missle has been fired, simply click again to guide it.

Will we be seeing through the missile or from the camera on the helo?

I've never heard of a camera on a missiles and if there are any cameras on missiles (that give video feeds back to the shooter like in vBF2, not IR tracking cameras or w/e) then none of the missiles in PR have them, that's just a vBF2 thing I'm pretty sure :p

So to answer your question, the camera is on the chopper or w/e vehicle you fired the missile from.

Yes and no.

When you fire a lase from a moving vehicle it will no longer drift but instead guide to EXACTLY what you clicked on. That functionality is on all scout choppers and the conventional uav.

I could not make it click to reguide in flight for lazes because that would mean you could not fire again until the last laze expired...

There is a way I could do it (like it is in combined arms) where you hold down left trigger for x seconds to fire and only tap the left trigger to guide which I will likely do for lazes in the future, but when I was putting this in I was working on a number of different things at once and didn't have the time to code/test that for this release.

It might also be possible to do that for GLTD's but I have not yet tried doing click-to-target on handheld weapons, which may not work.

What was with those 'TT' and 'TA' icons on the HUD? Are those the lase boxes (in Cyrillic) for the Havok?

Someone hasn't flown air assets in a while :p

Yeah, the Russian/MEC have had those lock signatures since .85 at least.
