Three days ago this started happening to me... except that I just shut down the hung BF2.exe process, and start PR again and it's good to go. Can confirm that nothing has changed on my BF2 side of things, at least through anything I've done... so it's quite an odd situation.

I have also now ran into this issue, I formatted my PC all drivers installed then installed BF2 updated it to the latest version installed PR and cant boot due to the Error BF2Audio.dll Module being missing (however the file is there as i can find it)

Just switched out the .dll files, now I don't get the notification of missing BF2audio.dll but it still goes to black then desktop.

I have this error too, but doens`t seem to cause any problems to game. No ctd or anything.
Maybe reinstalling. PR/BF2/both works.

I also tried this with the same result.
Have also uninstalled both bf2 and PR and reinstalled them both just comes back to the same issue

I just downloaded PR last night, went to go try it today and i got this:

"ERROR: Cannot find BF2Audio.dll module."
Then it goes to a black screen for a few seconds then goes back to desktop. Sometimes i dont even get the error and it just goes to black screen then desktop. Its also doing it for my BF2, any suggestions as to what it is?

yeah same here the exact thing happens pr loads and then black screen.. then desktop. have u found out whats wrong yet man?

This issue is fixed for next release afaik. It has to do with tr.exe which handles some of the features from the last release. I don't believe there is a way to fix this besides just waiting for the next release.

what about MD5 tool mismatch renddx_r.dll or something. kics for 2 minutes

I was gonna try just reinstalling BF2 but i cant find my disk

Ok. So i found my BF2 disk last night. I reinstalled both BF2 and PR. Once they're both done, i tried starting the game up again. This time i got a different error.

"Failed to load Effect: StaticMesh.fx
StaticMesh.fx(2): error x1507. failed to open source file: mods/xpacks/shaders/datatypes.fx"
Any idea?
Also, sorry if i seem really annoying with all these questions.
