i guess they figured rag doll worked better with explosives in the fray. i loved how it used to be though in 1942 get shot in the foot, "OH OH GOD MY THROAT! AAAaaaaagh!"

take a tank shell to the face, "OH OH GOD MY THROAT! AAAaaaaagh!"
run over by a car, ...you see where i'm going with this yet?
Information in the hands of a critical thinker is invaluable, information alone is simply dangerous.

You don't have to use a single death animation for every cause, lol :p .

Combined death animations with 100 times more detailed ragdoll, with helmets and weapons flying around. Can be seen in this alpha vid:

YouTube - Battlefield 2 Missile Dodge!

Helmets and weapons flying around at least is still possible in 1.5 and the sounds effects for those are in the files.

I could have sworn some of the trees in Kokan had dynamic shadows
Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading

They, like any other object do already give off a dynamic shadow, just they dont have the leafs casting proper shadows is the point. In the BF2 demo they use to account for it a little bit but as you can see in the OP screen, its all pixeley etc and while it might look better than it dose right now in a screenshot, when all thous pixels are moving about (with the leaves waving about in the wind) it looks really bad :p
