my friends are always complaining about how 'difficult' it is to download PR, this might just do the trick to fiiiinally make them download it heheee...

The installer works great. Downloaded and installed at around 35 mins with ease. great job on this.. years ago I remember installing PR to be a bit of a pain before.

A automatic game defrag would be awesome the newest installment of PR creates a shiz load of fragments

Well, as far as my friends, this was kinda their response:

See "Windows" or "MyDefrag" for help on that. Not in my realms to go missing with that sort of thing. But if you was to defrag every week or so. You would not see so much fragmentation of files.

This is looking great. But please tell me, how or are you at all verifying the file integrity of the downloaded files? MD5-sum or anything?

Lol, you know what. I Forgot all about that sort of thing. In my older builds. I Did not need to worry about it as I was a torrent back bone. Next build will have something in there to "double check" the files.

it works that's all i can say I downloaded PR this way and it works great and was an easy install.

Well. I Did some digging today for the "MD5" question. And the answer is. ".7z" has it's own inbuilt CRC checking. And the silly fool that I am forgot about it. So I don't need to add a 2nd layer of file checking as it is already inherent in 7z. I Knew I picked 7z for a reason. I Just forgot why.

Well we are 3 pages in and not one issue has been reported (I don't count the fact that the app was not available for 2 days as I changed hosts).

I Think it's save to say that it works 100%

I didn't use this installer yet but what about options to install/reinstall/update Punkbuster?
(pbsvc.exe, pbsetup.exe etc.) That might be useful to solve alot of problems while (re)installing PR.

While I write this I just got another idea:

What about an MD5 integrity check of all BF2 (!) files during the setup of PR?
Just to make sure BF2 isn't screwed.

"pbsetup.exe" and "pbsvc.exe" in theory should never be needed. BF2/BF2PR updates "PB" it's self when on a server. That being said. I See no reason not to include them on my next build.

As for an MD5 check of BF2 itself. That is beyond my skills at this time. Sorry. But I am open to ideas from coders/programmers.
