Thanks! I found a similar but much lower res version of this on that site.DevilDog812 wrote:hey, found this, might be of some use:

What do you mean? Please elaborate..yes a Sea knight would be more suitable for PR for its smaller size but..dtacs wrote:I can understand modelling something you love, but you do know that this would almost have no real place in PR right? What about modeling a Sea Knight instead? It could be used as the USMC's Chinook-class ingame.
Actually the CH-53 would have a much better place in PR than the Sea Knight, since the CH-53 would fit into the "Heavy Lift" category for the USMC, like the Chinook dose for the Brits/US Army, while the Sea Knight isn't worth modelling since its being phased out of server, although would do for a "Medium Lift" chopper like the Merlin and Black Hawk, but there is no point spending time over something that in a few years isn't going to be used and when PR is set a little into the future, we need to make the most up to date kit. In fact to slightly correct myself, most of the Sea Knights have already been retied from the USMC and its already fully retried from the US Navy.dtacs wrote:I can understand modelling something you love, but you do know that this would almost have no real place in PR right? Don't forget Israel and Germany, they both use this chopper.dtacs wrote:I can understand modelling something you love, but you do know that this would almost have no real place in PR right? What about modeling a Sea Knight instead? It could be used as the USMC's Chinook-class ingame.
But the Chinook has proven itself as a valuable asset to PR despite what its used for IRL. Considering the CH-46 has similar performance it would be more adequate for what PR is trying to represent. What do you mean? the Chinook is huge.dtacs wrote:Its huge. I see no place for it in PR due to its size, considering it can carry the whole team and then some, it would be a bit stupid having a chopper with capacity for that many people limited to 7 and two crates.
The Chinook was pushing it, however something of this sheer size and weight on a 4km map just isn't appropriate. Even on PRA or PR2, the scale that its operating on just couldn't be represented IMO. A long time ago I suggested it, but was quickly shot down - by developers included - for the reasons that I listed above.
Honestly if its ever introduced for the Marines, Germany or Israel there will have to be some serious gameplay changes for it to simulate a more substantial force than 32 people.
But by all means if he wants to model it for future use, its his choice.

Not really, you could have up to 2, even possibly 3 (thou very much doubt you would want 3) very comfortability on the front part of the ship, while all the other choppers on the back, or even the other way around, with putting them on the lifts to save even more space, with still keeping the runway open for a Harrier if need be too. They manage it just fine in r/l, and tbh the dimensions don't look too off the r/l ones, the dimensions if anything are the least inaccurate part of the ship, so really with much fewer aircraft on the deck there shouldn't be any real issues.dtacs wrote:Thats the length of the chopper, and of course the rotor diameter makes it even bigger, but just look at the comparable size of each chopper on the Essex. From looking at this picture however, the width of the stern is actually much smaller in PR. There would be a ton of clashing issues with other choppers if it was put on a carrier map.
