true but if it is too flexible it can still be deadly a bullet that manages to push in (i think) about 3 inches can cause internal damage upto death i believe.

Runflat isnt the tire inflation system, it are different things.

The central tire inflation system is there to keep the right pressure in the tires, which on military vehicles need to be controled 3 times a day (correct me if i am wrong), the system doesnt works with a flat tire, which will just be ripped of the rim when you drive with it.
The Flatrun system comes in action when you have a flat tire, its just a hard rubber (or metal) ring around the rim (see picture below), the fonction of it is that you are able to drive with your vehicle at a decent speed without tire.

There we go, that makes sense now. So, would it be realistic to code it so that after say, 3 m16 or ak round to a tire, it pops and you can see the runflat system, and there is just a little bit of lost control?

If thats even codible...

you know that with the 50 cal sniper you can kill the driver by shooting him threw the glass same with all glass with the 50 cal sniper. i shoot people like that all the time some times i miss and they usulay run me over but it works. all you need is a head shot but it is hard when there moving or swerving. tires no but it would be cool to see some tires go flat

^ that would be cool, not sure how it would be implemented.

as far as popping tires dont humvees have special tires? or like low pressure tires so youd have to shoot enough rounds into the tire to have it shred off before the vehicle lost control? im pretty sure they dont just pop.

**uhm might have to disregard this post, i had replied to tactical advantages post on the first page... didnt realize there were 2 more pages on the thread =X***
