you guys should really put a gun at the end of that ramp ... seriously. otherwise it looks awesome

OPK has a system that allows for the doors to open for their helicopter when ppl are in but closes if not. If no people are in, the way it opens is when you are at a certain altitude. I think you guys should just do your rear door based on the altitude of the helicopter. Its been proven that it works by OPK, and your method MAY or may not work.

thats is the main idea we are looking for at the mo. Basicly that is just attaching the ramp to the landing gear.

Right, that would be the easiest method of getting it to work functionaly I would assume. But be my guest if you want to get on the do it the hard way highway.

Im sure that you guys will get it to function smoothly before .4 is released, so good luck with it.

Oh, and with the ramp, isn't there the controls on the arrow keys, like the D-Day boat things... in BF1942?

Does this mean that if the ramp is down we could stuff more people inside that 6, anyway still great job.

The max loadout is 7 (incl 1 pilot & full 6 man squad). The collision mesh in the BF2 engine would throw about and drop anyone who bailed into the back after a while. I think...

It would be sweat, but it wouldn't be realistic. It's got a pair of gimps at the front and when it flies low the back opens so the passengers can get some shots out the back too. That ramp is a loading ramp, they don't just stick huge cannons on it to surprise the enemy with.

I know thats a chinook but im sure they put it on the merlins aswell. But I accept it wouldnt work with the moving ramp. As long as atleast the two rear passengers can shoot out the back like in the vodnick. Because it would suck if you were landing and one mec could blast you all up from the back without being able to return fire until you got out.

It might be possible to stuff some more guys in there, in the vanila BF2 on the little boats people can stand on them while moving along with people getting ont anks alot of this was fixed in the last pach if i recall so maybe more guys could get in, at least in theory.

If the door goes up it certainly sounds possible. I'd love to try it out.

Like the chinook in Bfv, except it didnt have a door, so on maps like Op Irving all the people without seats would scatter across the sea if the pilot tilted back a little

You can still do that but sometimes you get teamkilled
